How to make small room sound bigger
A lot of absorption can make any size room sound lousy.  A sterile, dead sounding room will not sound bigger. If you are serious about trying to get a room to sound larger, you will need to use additional channels of speakers and a processor that...
Cube Audio Nenuphar Single Driver Speaker (10 inch) TQWT Enclosure
The Nenuphar is a complete system, so it is hard to compare with a driver.  So far, I haven't heard a single driver Lowther system I preferred to the Nenuphar, but, I haven't heard the Charney Audio system with the Lowther driver; I heard, and rea...

How about a banjo version of Slayer's "Raining Blood":

Plenty of great covers of Leonard Cohen songs.  Among my favorite: Concrete Blonde: "Everybody Knows" Jeff Buckley: "Hallelujah" R.E.M.: "First We Take Manhattan"
What is your favorite cover?
I kinda like Guns and Roses covers, such as "Live and Let Die" and "knockin on Heaven's Door." There are some people whose voice I like a lot, but, when they cover favorite songs, it almost hurts to hear the travesty.  The ultimate one woman wrec...
What is your favorite cover?
One of my favorite albums of covers is "If I Were a Carpenter," which is a collection of different artists covering songs by the Carpenters.  I particularly like Redd Kross' "Yesterday Once More" and Shonen Knife's "Top of the World."

Okay, it is fair to criticize lifestyle that contributes to global warm, but of course, it is not just eating meat that contributes, so if you want to raise such harsh criticism, tell us if you also avoid all the other terrible activities that con...
Most beautiful turntable under $5k
The B&O is quite nice looking. My college roommate had that table.  I would bet that even if it were in good working condition, the bespoke cartridge would be hard to find.   For decent performance at a reasonable price the Thorens 124 or Garra...
Western Electric or Takatsuki 300Bs?
The primary concern would be whether PSET prematurely kills tubes.  I primarily ran EML 2a3s in the Kageki and a set of tubes did not last much more than two to three years or so.  I know that other amps, both SET and pushpull running these tubes ...
Is there any one piece of vintage gear you most wished you owned?
the Klipshorn to own from the past would be one of the first twelve ever built.  They had Western Electric 713A compression drivers in them.  These days, you can spend north of $20,000 per pair just for these drivers, and that price would be worth...
Western Electric or Takatsuki 300Bs?
I hope it is not the case, but, I suspect that you will have to be concerned about one tube becoming prematurely weak in your parallel SET setup.  I have not heard of any "cure" for this condition, and certainly Audio Note amps were prone to this ...

I did not find Wagyu to be tasteless.  Sure, it does not have the same taste as aged beef, which I also like, but, it does have its own unique umami flavor that I like.  The cut I don't understand at all is filet mignon--tasteless and only nice to...
