| What is the best solid state amplifier you have ever heard? I know this is a little obscure but my 30 year old Mirror Image Audio 1.1 SB power amp is the best SS I’ve ever heard. It was very expensive at 5k in the late 80’s, early 90’s. Occasionally you will see one for sale. | |

| Spatial M4 TS vs Magnepan LRS I heard the Spatial’s at last years Capital Audiofest. Along with Linear Tube Audio gear, they were in my top 5 rooms at the show. Including the unlimited $ systems. I’ve never heard the Maggie’s sound this good. | |

| Affordable alternativ to the PS Audio DirectStream DAC I don’t think they even make this anymore so probably not much help. I prefer my Oppo Sonica with Modwright tube mods over my PS Audio DS DAC. It is however somewhat system dependent. | |

| The JC Whitney syndrome In the 70’s I bought some parts for my Camaro from JC Whitney. While waiting for the order they went bankrupt. They were back in business 6 months later and of course kept my money. The catalog still says in business since 1915. | |
| Tekton Double Impacts I too am sad that the value of my DI SE has dropped. This will delay or stop me from moving up the Tekton line. Maybe these DI SE’s are just keepers for life because they do sound good but you know, when that upgrade itch starts. | |
| The Harbeth phenomenon Ive never owned Harbeth speakers but I heard the Super HL5 Plus at an audio show a few years ago. I won’t forget it. Excellent Vinnie Rossi electronics and great vinyl. It was maybe the best I’ve ever heard before and since. |
