| I've a confession to make don't tell my wife I recently added some points to my speakers. I was impressed with the improvment in midrange. But I lost a significant amount of sparkle on the top end. I am not torn on keeping the points or not. | |

| EAD Signature,New Krell 7.1 or tube preamp I have a Cary Tube pre, awesome! I also had an EAD Encore, I upgraded it to an Ovation Plus. That was a huge improvment. Before the upgrade the tube pre was by far better. Now its a tough call between using the EAD or the Cary tube pre. | |

| Which is better : Marantz AV9000 or Anthem AVM2 ? I owned an AV9000 and found the 2 channel to be narrow and hollow. It was ok for surround, but I was blown away when I upgraded to an EAD Encore. I have not heard the Anthem AVM2, but be sure to listen to it before buying if you can. | |
| Audio tip for aging male audiophiles :o) Helps to clean the wax out of your ears too. One suggestion please consider the younger crowd at night. Its hard to sleep with the music screaming in the background. |
