Finally arrived !! Very nice systems @total111 :-)
High Fidelity Cables? @tranchautuan when you have an opportunity please write up a review of that new cable :-). I'm glad to hear there was a good ending to your story.
Do you think driver “break in” is real? YES, Absolutely!

DAC DIRECT IN TO AMPLIFIER OR TO PREAMPLIFIER Only a tad over six minutes long, watch it with an open mind:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dh27E7YKN9s
Speaker Cable Recommendation https://www.vogueaudio.com/speaker-cables I really like these speaker cables, I use them with my Coincident Frankenstein 300B stereo (8watts) Klipsch Forte IV or JBL 4319. Take advantage while they are on sale.
XLR cables for a reasonable price? https://ravenaudio.com/product/xlr-interconnect-cables/ They sound very good and look exceptional. I tested each category of interconnect and cables that they make and there is huge bang for the buck.
DAC DIRECT IN TO AMPLIFIER OR TO PREAMPLIFIER @veerossi out of curiosity which preamp are you expecting? I'm in the opposite situation as you, I have preamps (tube and SS) but no DAC with volume control.
DAC DIRECT IN TO AMPLIFIER OR TO PREAMPLIFIER Paul, I think you need to hear a good tube preamp in your system in order to make an accurate decision ;-)
Help and opinions needed on pre-amp situation Trial and error is the only way for you to know for sure what you like best. I know audiophiles that swear by the use of preamps and others that say a direct hook-up is best.
Problem: Pro-ject Audio CD Box RS2 T transport I'm curious as to what those who own the Pro-Ject Audio CD Box RS2 T Transport; what is your transport sitting on, any type of tweak device or simply the shelf of your rack?
Bought a system without auditioning, thoughts? All good components, and they will most likely sound very good together. After break-in time the only question is will your system suit your needs and likes. I believe at least half of the music-listening community, if not a larger percentage, can...
Not sure for power conditioner my amp or not. After you have experimented with the power conditioner vs directly to the wall outlet (which is the only way to answer your question) let us know what sounded better and why, please. |
