Very nice systems @total111 :-)
High Fidelity Cables?
@tranchautuan when you have an opportunity please write up a review of that new cable :-). I'm glad to hear there was a good ending to your story.
Do you think driver “break in” is real?

DAC DIRECT IN TO AMPLIFIER OR TO PREAMPLIFIER
Only a tad over six minutes long, watch it with an open mind:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dh27E7YKN9s
Speaker Cable Recommendation
https://www.vogueaudio.com/speaker-cables I really like these speaker cables, I use them with my Coincident Frankenstein 300B stereo (8watts) Klipsch Forte IV or JBL 4319. Take advantage while they are on sale.
XLR cables for a reasonable price?
https://ravenaudio.com/product/xlr-interconnect-cables/   They sound very good and look exceptional. I tested each category of interconnect and cables that they make and there is huge bang for the buck.

@veerossi out of curiosity which preamp are you expecting? I'm in the opposite situation as you, I have preamps (tube and SS) but no DAC with volume control.

Paul, I think you need to hear a good tube preamp in your system in order to make an accurate decision ;-)
Help and opinions needed on pre-amp situation
Trial and error is the only way for you to know for sure what you like best. I know audiophiles that swear by the use of preamps and others that say a direct hook-up is best.
Problem: Pro-ject Audio CD Box RS2 T transport
I'm curious as to what those who own the Pro-Ject Audio CD Box RS2 T Transport; what is your transport sitting on, any type of tweak device or simply the shelf of your rack?
