Aric Audio's Motherlode II line-stage keep me up all last night
As someone who has worked with Aric before and owns the ORIGINAL Motherlode, I still cannot be more pleased with my work of audio art! As all other components in my system have come and gone, The Lode sits in the same place as it did when I placed...
Dutch & Dutch 8c speaker stand parts
Yourself, and three other parties actually bought them. So you are unlikely to garner any responses from the audio masses. Call the company.
New Stereo Times review on CODA CSiB Integrated Amplifier
I excitedly second the recommendation for Coda, and all of their gear in general! Best value in high end audio...and Doug is great to work with.
Pass XP12. Tame, Anemic?
I too was interested in the Don Sachs preamp, but after Aric sent me one of his preamps to demo, I was sold! He and I worked together to craft the original Motherlode(based heavily off of The Dude by TRL). I liked that he works with the client to ...
Pass XP12. Tame, Anemic?
I have owned the both the XP20 and the XP30 and yes, they both were anemic(a description that I have used several times on separate threads), and un-musical in my set up...and they were feeding Pass mono amps to boot. He makes fantastic amps, but ...
Considering a Raven Audio Blackhawk Integrated for Tannoy Sterlings
Aric and his gear are top notch! My Motherlode is the only piece of gear that has not been switched or upgraded since it found its place in my system.
Disappointment with Pass Labs - I'm looking for something else
Then call Aric.
Disappointment with Pass Labs - I'm looking for something else
Keep the amp, ditch the Pass preamp! Pass preamps are anemic and lifeless. I had the XA60.8's with both the XP20 and XP30 and was underwhelmed. Went to Aric at Aric Audio and we came up with the original Motherlode preamp. That was close to four y...
Looking for a tube Preamp new or used for under $2000...
Plus 3 for Aric Audio...you will get far more for your money than with many of the heavily marketed suggestions mentioned here.
Garrard 60hz Strobed platter
Thank you, totem395, perhaps a link to the product I was referring to would have been prudent.
Garrard 60hz Strobed platter
Thank you all who took  the time to read my post and had some useful insight to provide. An update to this post; I was able to source an original Garrard 60hz strobed platter that will be here sometime next week. I also picked up a keystrobe light...
Garrard 60hz Strobed platter
Currently, I have the original, non strobed platter. Admittedly, I like the aesthetics of that warm orange glow.
PSB - Stratus Gold(i) vs Totem Acoustic - Sky towers
I live in Southern California, and if anyone is interested in a "close to mint as a 25 year old can be", pair of PSB Golds, reach out to me. I am the original and only owner and they are in black ash. The tweeters were sent to Paul at PSB around f...
Opportunity
Don't be lured by the attractive, "percentage off". Yes, B&W have their fan base, but the majority of those that have either auditioned or owned them, find their sound harsh and fatiguing. Caveat emptor!
Budget tower speakers that rock!
I have a pair of near mint condition PSB Gold in black ash. I am in Los Angeles if the OP is close and wishes to hear them. I am the original owner...they never been out of my home.
