Most transparent power amp Hypex. Ncore vs. anything in a blind test. Chose your power supply but the most accurate is Hypex Ncore. Most dynamic too. Damping factor for transients.
What are the best Bluetooth headphones? I would think the Sennheiser HD-1. Have not listened though. Wired here
The Best & Rarest of all Stereo Gear Hypex for the win. If you love even order distortion you will like no distortion even more. Ncore and ESS Sabre Pro.
Oppo BDP-103 vs UDP-203 audio only If you only want audio then Oppo Sonica DAC. I have both a 203 and Sonica DAC.
Searching for the most "accurate" speaker (below 15K) Linkwitz LX521.4 system is about $10k but you have to have the room.
Small monitors good at low listening levels? Merlin TSM-MM, don't miss a chance to listen to their huge stage, amazing detail and excellent transients. I get complements from casual listeners all the time when driven with a SimAudio I-5.
Ear Candy: Most startling recordings. He messes around in the studio quite a bit, from making recordings sound like they are being played on a Gramaphone to simply great recordings like the bluegrass cuts with the Del McCrory (s.p.?) Band. Wish I could afford to hear the title cut off...
Advice for a new hi-fi customer Better check the preamp capabilities of the Kenwood VR2080. I had one and thought of doing the same only to find that the preamp was only for the sub. Could be wrong but check it out. |
