Warm, rich but detailed SS preamp (made you give up tubes) Pintos used to blow up in the 70’s but that is no reason to avoid purchasing a modern car
question for Luxman L-590AX owners Haha, erik_squires suggested the same device halfway up the thread. Dang the whole issue is troublesome though. I was seriously considering targeting an L590axii for my main system and an L550axii for my secondary because I know the SQ is up my al...
Audio Research VT80SE amp vs Prima Luna EVO 400 or 300 Anyone know how good the VT80SE is? Is it just a small step below the Ref75se or is it a big gap? They aren't priced that far apart.
Anyone heard the new ARC LS28 SE? OP,Did you ever find out how the various ARC preamps compare? Did you try any of them?

Move From AVR to Integrated? Marantz pm7000n is a true all-in-one with a built in streamer ready made for Tidal, Qobuz, etc., for $999 USD, as another option if you want an all in one box without having to get a separate streamer with the Outlaw. I own one and can strongly re...
Spendor D9.2 vs Proac D48r Spendor D series are none of those things (pipe and slipper, etc.) either, even if traditional Spendor (e.g., classic line) might be. Spendor D series is a whole new animal to the old Spendor stereotype, and as owner of D7 and D1 one that hits the...

Is Carl Bernstein an Audiophile? If you search "Carl Bernstein room rater," I definitely see a turntable and what (to me) looks like an Audio Research component, although I can't be sure it is, each in an audio rack. Looks to be a large office environment, possibly a living room...
PS Audio BHK 250 - Is it still a good amp? Yes, that is true that the owner did not send his LRS to PSA so they could test. What I am saying is that if the 250 were able to handle the LRS, I suspect PSA would just have purchased LRS, tested, and if positive result reported it on that threa...
PS Audio BHK 250 - Is it still a good amp? But there was a problem, and PSA both didn’t dispute and couldn’t explain. The amp was sent in to PSA for exam and possible repair and still repeatedly failed to be able to drive LRS on return. Many on that forum that is monitored by PSA CEO and en... |
