350 SACDs and Counting Thank you for the post. It just proves that there are not enough titles for my listening that will make me want to buy into this format. I will wait for the format wars and technology to settle down before investing in another format.
I am curious about line conditioners. I am amazed with my PS Audio P600 for my Pioneer HD-710 and front end equipment. Everything has more definition and placement. I did visual testing with no sound and only after a few comparisons did not want to watch without the P600. I have owned...
What SS amp has the fastest warm-up time My Krell 300S seems to peak in 15-20 minutes where when I had VTL's and Atmasphere's they took at least 30 minutes.I agree with No_money also. Pre amps and digital always sounds best after 1-3 hours and longer-good luck.
Room Acoustic Treatment with High WAF? Also check out www.accousticsfirst.com for what I think are some cost effective solutions. They will make custom panel sizes and discuss other possibilities also-Good luck.
Latest comments on PS Audio PP? Well I know it's been a while, but I just received the P1200for the 300S and I am now even more spoiled and don't wantto listen without it in the system. There is a much bettersense of staging and clarity and less glare, but no loss ofdynamics whi...
Adding a Second Sub Deffinately two subs. I added 2 B&W 800 Matrix subs to my801 III and will not go back. It was a match problem forthe 801's and the only seemless blend was another Matrix12" sub. I have them reasonably low, but can really hearand feel the diffe...
psaudio.com Yes, I only wish the internet was around in the late 80's because those are the things that were costly to learn or you couldn't find out the right way to do things. What anadvantage the new audiophile has today. Keep checking thatsite!
B W 802N versus 801M I also have 801 III w/North Creeks and auditioned the 801N and 802N. I still prefer the Matrix in that I think they are more "lively" and have the "snap" I seem to loose with the Nautilus. I think the Nautilus are more controled for sure, but mayb...
Krell bass alignment filter Thanks for the post, but I just have to wonder what the alignment filters can do prior to the amplification and speaker xover's to make the music sound better or the speaker perform better. Of course I would also match my interconnect to the rest ...
HDTV Set Top Box I am also interested in getting HDTV. I want a good local antenna and a dish. I heard that the Sony waited 6 months to make sure they had everything and the RCA is a pain in the rear. Which way to go?
What are B W 802 Series 3 s worth? I had a pair that I bought w/stands for $2400 2 years ago. If they are in great condition it is a steal. They might be worth a little less now because of the new Nautilus but not much. If your room is not to big-grab them, you'll love 'em!
Latest comments on PS Audio PP? I didn't state it, but I know what Mg123 means with the Pioneer Elite. I am using the HD-710 and could not beleive the improvement of an already awesome picture. My recent I.S.F. calibration tech even commented on how stable my power was when one ...
Latest comments on PS Audio PP? I absolutely agree with Jadem6 and have seen other comments reflecting positive results. I have not seen any negative comments on "Power Plants" and I have a P600 with MW that Ican't stop using. I have had Tice and Audio Power, but thisproduct is ...
B W 801II w/upgrade vs. 801III ???? I found the stands to be a down grade in that I prefer the tweeters to be almost ear height. I found with proper electronics, cables, etc. that a 1" cone point is best fortrue to life sound. The stands in my belief were mainly made for studio situ...
B W 801II w/upgrade vs. 801III ???? I have 801 III w/ north creeks and they are such an improvement vs. the standard x-over which I think is the weak link of the matrix series. I would keep what you have unless you are planning to have the North Creek's with the 801 III. I still lik... |
