The mistake armchair speaker snobs make too often
I hope they sell a lot of speakers despite the arm chair dorks. I like Danny Richie speaker reviews re: understanding how the parts add up to the whole.
Who has the Sickness, the Phile or the Non-phile?
All this is not industrially fabricated music, but music created in a TRADITION , cultural and musical tradition... Right now my favorite genre of music IS industrially fabricated in the TRADITION of the tribes of Africa mostly in the Zulu langua...
Who has the Sickness, the Phile or the Non-phile?
@bal-de-vis  Welcome to the forum. Can you post a pic of your headphone rig on your virtual system page? Sounds like a nice one. Thanks
Thinking about a Steinway Lyngdorf system
@donavabdear  Did you pull the trigger on these or something else since you started this thread?
Who has the Sickness, the Phile or the Non-phile?
@mahgister  If the % of audiophiles are small the % of acoustic philes are even smaller. I count myself as a member of acoustic-phile. It is much less expensive and much more pleasing to my ears.

Why Do You Listen? A Poll Question
SOUND I can’t listen to opera MUSIC, not my taste. But go to the opera with high quality SOUND, yes. I can say the same thing for about every genre of music that’s not my taste, a LIVE performance with high quality sound? Check, count me in. T...

Bad news for home theater enthusiasts

Who has the Sickness, the Phile or the Non-phile?
@frankmc195  The Sony HT I posted doesn't use a CC because it images so good, not needed. "Surround sound is so last decade- what you really want is 360-degree audio" Sony HT-A9 review, Tech Radar: https://www.techradar.com/reviews/sony-ht-a9 ...
Who has the Sickness, the Phile or the Non-phile?
@tonydennison I assume you mean as an wholesaler, otherwise, ... what a strange thing to say. Look, I suppose a lot of money is all relative. If you have a lot of LP’s, a great TT then spend what you need to git er done in an analog system. Bu...
Who has the Sickness, the Phile or the Non-phile?
@dabel Personally I’m much to simplified / lazy at this point in life at tackling such a project but that’s just me. It’s not just you, this is why "philes" are sometimes infected with OCD. You spend and chase that last 10% in pursuit of ______...
Who has the Sickness, the Phile or the Non-phile?
@cleeds I appreciate the reply, you are an excellent wordsmith and yes, I may have been a bit dramatic :). Going back to the OP, I believe the "phile" has the sickness because both the demographics and technology of audio reproduction has chang...
