Legacy LS10 speakers? Hi guys,Your suspicions were the same as mine, especially with the offset design of the mids/highs.Legacy was kind enough to respond to me and no one there recognized them either.I will share this, though - they do sound pretty nice! A little roll...
which sub to get Every REL sub I have heard has sounded very nice. A Revel b15 is a heck of a sub AND with its built-in EQ should be able to integrate well.
2-Way Advice: Magico S1,YG Carmal,Diablo Utopia Take a listen to the Lawrence Violin speakers. Amazingly musical, especially given your music selection. They punch far above their weight class, IMO.
JL Audio 2nd sub - mix match F112 and F113? Your subs need to match to sound best.Think of it this way. You have a 12" speaker that needs to move "x" amount in order to produce a certain note. You then have a 13" speaker that moves "y" to play that same note. Will you hear that difference? ...
B&W 802 Bass Removal These are pressed in very tightly (nice build quality!). You have to get a small pick and just get it under the lip, and be ready, as it will come right out. I had to replace my drivers and just did this a few months ago.
What is the best HEAVY METAL speaker? I am a huge metal and heavy rock fan, among other music vices :) I enjoy Opeth, Entombed, Amorphis, Slayer, Rage Against the Machine, all the way to Norah Jones, KT Tunstall, and Andreas Vollenwieder. Music comes in many flavors, no need to be pid...
Krell Evo 302 or Burmester 956 mk2 A Burmester amp with the rest of your gear should sound amazing. There is some serious synergy with their equipment, especially if you use balanced interconnects!
Plinus vs. Burmester amps I have not heard the Plinius, but I know Burmester well. The strength of their gear is the immediacy and dynamics they produce. Imagaine a snare drum in real life. When it is hit hard, it kind of makes you jump a little. Burmester gear has that sa...
Time for some new speakers I have a pair of the Violins and am very impressed by them. I came from a pair of 802n and other than losing some bottom end, I think they compete really well. The Violins are 2 way and if you really listen you can tell there is just a hint of a h...
Audiocubics R-cube remote volume control review Tonyaangel - did you get a chance to check this out? Does the R-Cube add or take away anything?
Cardas vs Synergistic Do yourself a favor and try the Cardas Clear cable. I have never been a fan of how the other Cardas cables seemed to color the sound, but the Clear has completely blown me away (after about 150 hours of break in). I have listened to many many cabl...
Amazing ''Overachieving'' products...your pick? Vincent 331 hybrid amplifier. It does everything and more than its "low" $1000 price would lead you to believe.
hybrid solid state amps Don't discount the Vincent just because of the money!! I have a 331 Vincent that drives a pair of B&W 802s and it sounds terrific. 150 per channel and 8 ohm, and if you have the room and the need, you could always get two and go mono. I think ...
Moving from B&W 802 Nautilus to 800 Nautilus ?? Hi Bill,I have been able to hear them side by side and I think the 800's are a better speaker, top to bottom. They are designed to the be reference piece in the Nautilus line, excepting the actual Nautilus speakers, of course. The 800s use differe...
Burmester B50 or Burmester 961 Mk3 ? I have had the pleasure of listening to both and there are some differences worth noting. The B50s seem to be a little more tricky to drive - weak amps = poor results. They need some room from the back wall to open up, so room size is important. T... |
