DSP is the only way. And I saw you say DSP affected you negatively when you used it. I'd say which DSP and also assume it wasn't a painstakingly meticulous use of said DSP. Cos DSP when done right doesn't degrade sound

you need a subwoofer... SBIR effects in your room is giving you nulls (to be expected, can't cheat physics) and the only way to get that fixed is by good subwoofer integration @vail3000
