Which cd/dv mega changer using an outboard DAC? Chantaipan,My wife and I love mega changers.I found the Sony ES mega changer sounds better than the non-ES changer, I found the sound to be much fuller.I like the Sony because I have never had a Sony product go bad on me, it holds 400 discs with t...
What Liquid in PAD interconnects? Interesting idea.hey, maybe that's that snke oil we hear so much about??best I could find 9from enjoythemusic.com):"contains a proprietary mix of metallic ions that almost certainly must both shield and absorb interferences"So, looks like the fact...
Monster Cable Kicks Butt? I had monster and cerwin vega, I think all teenagers go through that stage at some point. I ain't gonna salp you!KP
Monster Cable Kicks Butt? No, it's more like Monster sounds 'less good', and that mnakes them 'not good.'I can't speak for anyone elses experiences, but my wife and I will tell you that.If you are happy with cable X (whatever that may be), then rejoice. Don't expect everyo...
Von Schweikert VR-4 Gen III or B&W 802? My experience with the 802's is limited to listening at the dealer. I own the VR's and would not trade them for the B&W's. I love the speakers get out of the way of the music.KP
What exactly do ya do about a 15 foot run ? Is it possible for you to run a new line?Seems like a perfect excuse for a dedictaed line! You can always get an UO as the bridge. As far as 'fancy' cords, you can get a decent one for $50 - $100 that'll be better than 'stock' stuff.Hope this helps.KP
Monster Cable Kicks Butt? I credit Monster with making me realize that cables mattered. To make a long story short, I replaced Monsters with a pair of AQ I had received free a year or two before, and it was painfully obvious that the Monsters were grainy and muffled.KP
Is this the norm? Rgodin, I could not agree with you more. A little common courtsey does not require much effort, yet it can certainly go a long way. Most sellers are very forthcoming and honest, and will keep you 'in the loop', a minority will let your query hang.KP
More expensive receiver vs. cheaper one with amp I'd go with a separate amp, more flexible in the future. In my experience, receivers end up as outdated paperweights.KP
Stock Power Cords? Buy one from a place where you can return it if you are not happy, and try it out. That's the only way you'll know if it makes a difference. Before you do that, though, spend 10 bucks and replace your wall outlet.KP
Power cords Well, these kind of threads alway teeter on the edge of chaos. Why don't you just buy a powercord you can return and try it, and trust your experience?KP

Tweaks Cfb, the grass tweak works, but you really need to have a couple of Jersey cows to get fullest effect. Just make sure to dampen their bells. Plus, they create a coll mini-ecosystem...KP
Help me find this sound No offense taken, Mtsars! But we must have the mega changers. We listen to music for hours on end, and jump all over the place.I've dampened the **** out of it, and that helped improve the sound quite a bit (a lot more than I expected).A single pla... |
