Congrats! The Concerto is a beautiful table!Enjoy!
Good inexpensive temporary speakers
The LSA-1 sold for $1300.00 a pair through dealers and now you can buy them Internet Direct in black ash, closed out deal at only $499.00/pr (I don't own them so there is no bias here). However, if you want "keepers" go for a used pair of Totem Mod...
Most compatible phono pre for Lyra Delos
Good thing I followed your advice Downunder,Now that I have done an extensive audition of the G Slee which has been hooked to my system for a full week, I can honestly tell you that, to my ears, the P-75 sounds better than the Reflex C. First, (wi...
Skeptics believe:cartridge makes a HUGE difference
Congrats Elegal!I also enjoyed a very noticeable upgrade when I replaced the DV 10XGold L/RB303 with the Delos/RB808. I am hoping that the upcoming Graham Slee Reflex C, soon to replace the DV P-75, will make a signinficant upgrade as well.As Czar...
Sold speakers you really enjoyed?... But why?
I hear you Timrhu,As a matter of fact, I have. So I perfectly understand what you're saying.I've been visiting my local dealer in South FL for years and, one day as I walked in to pay a visit to my friend Larry (owner), I was floored by the sound!...
Where to improve phono chain?
Shaq,Great system there! If I'm not mistaken, the cart you are referring to was made in the late 80's, early 90's for Jeff Rowland by Ikeda and they were unique in being cantirlever-less MC designs, correct?I agree with you that you may want to sta...
Opinions on bang for the buck on TT & tonearm
Dear Curleyques,You have revealed the following information:1. Looking for great sound with minimal tweaking.2. The sound must create the illusion of being there, accurate vocals and sufficient bass.3. Tables I have owned; Basis Debut Gold vacuum,...
Pro-Ject turntables
For that kind of money you may want to check out the Pro-ject RPM10.1 Evolution if you are still interested in a Pro-ject turntable. However, I would strongly recommend one of the followings over the Pro-ject:Townshend Rock 7, Well Tempered Amadeu...
Sold speakers you really enjoyed?... But why?
Timrhu, I appreciate your response. It's hard for me to audition a speaker for just 6 - 8 hours and familiarize myself with them well enough. I feel more comfortable keeping them for at least a month or so before I make a conscientious decision. C...
The right match
Forgot to ask, What will be your budget?
The right match
Well said Paraneer. Too many variables to determine what will be "the best" for the Logos. Audiofool1, source, size of room, and taste in music will be a good starting point.
currently own a vpi scout, looking to upgrade
Could you post the rest of your system? Cart, phono pre, amp, cables, speakers, isolation devices, etc?As Macbuddah and Stringreen suggested, the Scout has an upgradeable path and maybe you could find better synergy by experimenting with different...
Sold speakers you really enjoyed?... But why?
Wow Timrhu!50 speakers in 15 years? That is one pair of speakers every 3.6 months! I'm curious as to how you were able to appreciate the sound of each pair in such a short time? Honestly interested, not trying to be a smart-ass.
Sold speakers you really enjoyed?... But why?
Various reasons:Sold my first audiophile speakers (Linn Kan MKI) and "upgraded" to Spendor S8e. Both outstanding speakers!!!!After many years with the S8e, I "upgraded" to Audes Blues, which, IMHO, have been the best speakers I have ever owned. Un...
Most compatible phono pre for Lyra Delos
Thanks Downunder but $3,500.00 is really out of my reach. I only paid $600.00 plus shipping cost for the GS Reflex C. I thought it was a good buy considering its $1,250.00 price tag.
