Opinions and recommendations on active loudspeakers @steve59 what jbl wireless speakers are high end?
tweeter replacement Magico S5 how much do you think these tweeters cost them to produce?
Buy a pair of ten year old $40,000 speakers for $4,000 or new ones at that price point? it depends what you mean by bargain. Some speakers are so overpriced to begin with that even if it was a fraction of the price it would still be overpriced.
Dealers and exaggerated treble @testpilot I am talking about one channel being out of phase with the other.
Dealers and exaggerated treble Perhaps one of the upstream components inverted phase. does not matter where the phase was inverted. It should be immediately obvious unless you have bad hearing or it was deliberate.
Dealers and exaggerated treble The issue as I found out several weeks later, was the extended break in period for these speakers which have a beryllium tweetsyou sure it wasn't the mains cable? That can make the sound pretty bright.
Dealers and exaggerated treble yes deplorable to set up a pair of high end speakers without listening to them and positioning them and noticing that theyre out of phase. The guy didnt even notice until I told him. Either that or it was deliberate

Low Sensitivity Speakers Compression Issue. My point being, thermal compression and thermal modulation (short-term thermal compression) are real things, but unfortunately that information is not widely known in the home audio world. It’s almost like a dirty little secret that speaker manufa...
Is it time in your hobby to build a speaker kit? or you could just modify an existing speaker by modifying its crossover preferably using an active one.
Is it time in your hobby to build a speaker kit? Do this to roll your own crossover out of exotic Teflon and copper foil. Active crossover is what you need if you're doing DIY. You can't experiment with the crossover as easily when doing passive.
Frequency response + or - 1 dB ?? Would you please describe your current speaker syste, as well as any widely available commercial speaker you stan?I don't have a current system. None that meet my standards can be found for a reasonable cost or perhaps even at any cost. The last s... |
