Which speakers did you find bright, fatiguing or just disappointing in some way? Was that before or after Roy Johnson got sick and then died 3-4 months later? It was after. Does that make it ok that several customers lost a lot of money? I don't think so. They should be refunded.
Single driver speakers. Are they worth considering ? single driver speakers have very poor higher frequency sound and cant do bass. That is the price you pay for a bit less comb filtering in the mids.
Which speakers did you find bright, fatiguing or just disappointing in some way? @whipsaw you are completely wrong I'm afraid. The green mountains don't even exist anymore. Theyve just disappeared as if by magic. They all used a cheap 6 inch car woofer that cost about 5 dollars and a cheap tweeter too. They never did good bass...
Which speakers did you find bright, fatiguing or just disappointing in some way? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a speaker you can turn right up and continue enjoying clean pristine treble? Is there even such a thing? Of course. If you dont custom tune to your ears speakers will sound bright. Now stop complaining and start enjoy...
Single driver speakers. Are they worth considering ? What they more or less avoid, as compared to multi-way systems, is comb-filter problems of two or more drivers interfering with each other. The Comb filtering is what causes dips off axis. Hence poor dispersion.
Which speakers did you find bright, fatiguing or just disappointing in some way? @millercarbon Wilson use some of the best drivers on the planet and use thick rigid cabinets. There's nothing to criticize there. The only possible explanation is that the crossover may not be tuned to your preference. But that doesn't give you a ...
Single driver speakers. Are they worth considering ? KEF likes to do single driver point source speakers. It depends what you want. Single drivers have less highs but perfect dispersion. A 3way speaker has clearer sound but horrible dispersion.
Help troubleshooting: 1 speaker is playing significantly lower two of the spades were touching!you could damage your amp doing that.
Help troubleshooting: 1 speaker is playing significantly lower you will need to fix the crossover to fix the problem. Open it up and find out where the problem is. Its not rocket science
Critical subwoofer tip phase cohesion is of course important. you want to make sure that the sound from the subs arrives at your ears at the same time as the rest of the music. You will need to adjust the phase to within less than a degree if you want perfect time coher...
Why wont speaker companies publish their measurements? AudiogoN is not worried about what your opinion is when it comes to forum guidelines. what guidelines? there are no guidelines. Even if there were, they dont stick to it.WHAT SPEAKERS DO YOU OWN?I have a few different ones. They are custom tune...
Why wont speaker companies publish their measurements? This hyena has started more threads - only to end up deleted - than any member I can remember in twenty years of being here. LOL You can delete the threads all you want but the TRUTH will remain. I have already told Audiogon that it will only ...
What tests would you like all speaker reviewers to do for their reviews? Spinorama 2034, near field driver, early reflections, in room response, beamwidth, horizontal and vertical directivity, waterfall , distortion @96dbspl, fundamental and harmonic distortion, maybe some 360° vertical and horizontal polars. mos...
What tests would you like all speaker reviewers to do for their reviews? live sound is not the same as reproduced sound. Why is that hard to understand? your argument is therefore not valid.
Why wont speaker companies publish their measurements? how do we know youre not trolling djones51? where is the proof? You dont know what i have. Maybe i have a Magico in my house? you know nothing. DSP is not used by 99% of high end speakers. The genelecs are bad speakers. Very bad. I have heard them... |
