Sony XA-5400es player...Giant Killer or just Ok? Missioncoonery I have a modright modded Oppo 95 with tube output and tube regulated power supply. The sound killed the Playback Designs CD player I owned which sells for over 15,000.00. The PD is considered one of the best at any price. I sold the...
Crisp sounding tubes for Modwright 5400ES Wig I agree, I still can't believe the difference like a whole new system. I am using the Sylvania VT-231 Fat Boy 6SN7 in the main unit and love the sound. I wonder how the Create 6SN7 would sound?
Crisp sounding tubes for Modwright 5400ES I just received the Create 5AR4 and it is fabulous in the Modright Oppo 95. I hear a clearer, more open soundstage with tighter bass and better dynamics. This tube replaced a new old stock Phillips tube from the Netherlands. Wig thanks for your fe...
Modwright Oppo 95 and Computer Audio Jfz the modwright player is fantastic. It is better than many over 10,000 cd players and you have the choice of using it with High resolution downloads in the future. A portable hard drive is exactly what it says. All computers have built in hard ...
Modwright Oppo 95 and Computer Audio Like I said you plug your portable hard drive with High Resolution music on it directly into the Oppo 95 with a USB cable. The only difference is you cannot see the titles on the portable hard drive with your computer, but instead need a tv plugge...
Modwright Oppo 95 and Computer Audio You don't need a digital input to make digital audio work with the Oppo. You just plug in a USB cable from your computer hard drive into the Oppo directly. You will need a 21 inch LCD tv to monitor what you want to do, by using an HDMI cable conne...
Crisp sounding tubes for Modwright 5400ES I will be getting this tube this week and report back on how it sounds in the Modright Oppo 95.
Magico Q7 . . . wow Audiofreak32 I am just used to live music. I go to jazz venues at least once a month and the symphony and Magico's aren't even close.
Oppo 95: Burn-in...and Fan Jdub39 just get the mod, you won't be mad and you will thank us in the morning. I guarantee it will be the best thing you did in a long time.
Very small Integrated and speakers used Matttcone I just received the mINT on Tuesday. I am using it with my new Minny Magneplanars and the sound is wonderful. I also have a Schiit Bifrost DAC that I can use with the mINT as well, not sure what I like better.
Magico Q7 . . . wow He we go again. We have the audiophiles who like Magico and the music lovers who listen to live music and like the Fabers. I have heard Magico's many times and yes they are an audiophile speaker. Do they sound like live music which is warm and nat...
Oppo 95: Burn-in...and Fan Jdub39, I agree nothing special in standard Oppo, but modified by Modright it beat every player I had in house, including the 15,000 Playback Designs CD player. Jfz same thing applies to the unbalanced outputs.
Oppo 95: Burn-in...and Fan More refined sound. More natural warmth in the midrange, much less of that digital sound. This is only through the analog balanced output stage. This player beat the Playback Designs CD player I had that sold for 15,000.00.
Oppo 95: Burn-in...and Fan Send it to Dan and get the Modright tube mod of the 95 and you will beat most players out there at any cost.
Crisp sounding tubes for Modwright 5400ES Solentgreen, I had the same issue with the Sony. I sold it and bought the modright modded Oppo 95. I like this much better. In my opinion it is more open and extended on top and much tighter in the bass. I tried a lot of tubes with the Sony and ul... |
