Experience with the Pass Labs XP-15 phono stage? I have an XP-15/Lyra Delos/VPI Classic and really enjoy the rig. I don't have any ARC experience, but this combo plays nice together. Run balanced out to an XP-20, very very quiet.
New Delos cart Jcarr, Delos DL2980 says hello, and a big thumbs up to Alasdair @ AQ
Is there a problem with my Lyra Delos cartridge? Jonathan, I was able to get to Audioquest thru the Lyra site via the Distributor link and have already heard back from them. I sure didn't see any of that going thru the Audioquest front door, but I could have missed a link.I'm sure everybody says...
Is there a problem with my Lyra Delos cartridge? Jonathan, I'd like to send you an email, but I don't see an email or even PM option. The only Audioquest I see is speaker cables and HDMI, I don't see anything about cartridges on their site.
Anyone auditioned Pass Labs XP-30 preamp? There was a review posted online from Hometheatrehifi that has some measurements and comparisons to the XP-20 that they also reviewed. No idea of the weight these reviews carry as opposed to TAS, but there they are.
Pass Labs heatsinks temperature My XA60.5 needles ran a little left of center at idle as well. If they're not moving, I wouldn't be too concerned. There is an article on the Pass site titled "Leaving Class A" that might be worth a read.
Is there a problem with my Lyra Delos cartridge? As others have mentioned, 1.8g is on the very top end of the recommended VTF range. And VTF on these is pretty particular, like a couple hundredths of a gram making an audible difference.I'd slack it off to 1.7g and work towards the recommended 1....
pass labs xa30 to valve amplifier. It's a confusing amp to rate for some folks.Pass rates it as 30wpc class A. It's pure class A for 30wpc.Stereophile got about 40wpc class A from it in their review IIRC.Past 40wpc, their amp moved into class A/B operation. It didn't clip until it ...
VPI Classic dimensions You'll need 20" wide by 15" deep at a minimum. Maybe a slight bit less, but that's about what it needs without being right on the edge.
Has anyone tried the new Lyra Kleos? Yes, I realized even while posting that the arm just needed a little more UP VTA, I bet a person could shim the arm assembly -plinth junction a bit pretty easily. It's not really a problem unless you have your heart set on using a mat, and I don't...
Amp for JBL 250 Ti I think you are just worrying too much, the 250ti isn't a particularly hard speaker to drive. I had a pair for years and drove them with a Sansui G-9700, PS200/400 Crowns, Carver M1.5T, Pass XA30.5, XA60.5, and X260.5 plus probably some stuff I'm ...
Has anyone tried the new Lyra Kleos? No, I have only used it on this table. I did use a less expensive MM cart (AT440MLa) on the table for a bit while waiting on the Delos. Phono stage is Pass XP-15.Since this was my first unipivot arm, I did go through some trials and tribulations g...
Has anyone tried the new Lyra Kleos? "I read the laundry list of complaints/problems guys have...IGD, sibilance, hum, skipping, harsh/muted/ highs, too much/not enough bass, what have you...and I just don't have any of that."I meant that as a general list of complaints, not as a spec...
Has anyone tried the new Lyra Kleos? I have a Delos on a VPI Classic JWM 10.5i arm and I couldn't be happier. It was my first unipivot arm and I'm dumber than a sack of hammers, but I got it to work extremely well. And the unipiviot isn't wobbly when it's in action, only when it's off...
VPI Tonearm connector wire and record tracking I run a Lyra Delos on a VPI 10.5i arm. When I first hooked it up and got it dialed in, it tracked great. After pulling the arm off and disconnecting the Lemco a few times, and tying the Lemco to the arm to keep it from pulling the wires while I wo... |
