VPI Scout 2 vs. Classic 1 vs MOFI ultradeck
Right, not a big deal just kind of a big deal. I have owned plenty of tonearms including three different unipivots. You should handle one before you buy one. As the above poster pointed out they are more difficult to handle and require additional care

Make sure you are going to be happy with a unipivot tonearm. They take some getting used to and are more difficult to set up that a standard tonearm
SME Armboard for Triplanar
I think the OP could just buy a blank (the board before they drill the hole for a Rega) from soundsupports.com  and have it drilled locally for the Triplaner

I have not done business with them. It does look like they can provide a mounting plate you could use.
Wanting to sell speakers but don’t know how to price them......
@lazarus_longItems can only be rated in full point increments (10, 9, 8, etc.) on the Audiogon scale. There are no partial point increments, so they can't, by definition, be rated at 9.5, 9.25, 9.375 etc. on the Audiogon scale.

Used Market Savings vs. The Dealer Experience
You should talk to your dealer. As mentioned above dealers take trade-in equipment, which they usually want to turn quickly. That in turn can mean a good deal for you.I have bought some equipment used, but a lot of it was dealer demo equipment.

Thinking about upgrading, but wondering about diminishing returns
@lak +1@liamowen,I think you are on track with adding dedicated outlets and room treatment (look at the GIK website) first, then focus on a great analog front end.Happy New YearJim Perry

Thinking about upgrading, but wondering about diminishing returns
Sorry if my initial comments seemed terse. You have a system that looks like it sounds great and probably does. You are also in an area of significant diminishing returns. I have been in a similar situation and it seems like you can churn through e...

I think you should go to an audio show before you buy anything.I would also suggest that a different turntable and cartridge may be a better place to upgrade
