A Walk in The COUNTRY
I don't know if it is exactly country, but I recommend Ian Tyson's solo efforts. It is what I would call cowboy music. Try "Cowboyography" for a starter

Thanks Lou. You can see my semi-vintage office system by clicking on the system link. I listen at fairly low volume in the office most of the time.
Ray Samuels XR-10B phono stage - anyone got one?
Willie,It is on my second turntable system that I do not use very much. It has plenty of quiet gain for your Denon cartridge. The dynamics are good and so is the imaging. It is not as good as my Art Audio Vinyl One or the Fosgate Phono (it preceded...

I have a set of Fried a?3 in my office system. I think they sound great and were a real bargain used.

I have a F-117 Nighthawk and use it with a Dynavector 17D3. It is easy to use, and very quiet. I think it is a bargain and well worth the price.
CES 2014 hotels
Walking distance in Las Vegas is tough. I suggest you get a hotel with good monorail access. I usually stay at the MGM Grand.
How would you feel
I think your other thread posted. I would feel like I should have kept the Berning ZH-270, and not bought the LSA.Sometimes things like that happen. What is important is whether you are happy with the sound of the LSA and whether you think it soun...

Proac speakers and Quicksilver amps are IMO a very synergistic combination. You might try some other gear with them to see if it will work better for you.I am using the Proac Response 2.5 with Quicksilver V-4 amps and I am very happy with the comb...

Best speaker that Proac ever made
Bcgator "Is a 12x12 room too small for the Response 3?"I have not heard the Response 3 in a room that size. So sorry I can't help you with an on point answer. It is a lot of speaker for a room that size and I think you would need some bass treatme...
Best speaker that Proac ever made
That is a good point Ladok. I used the Response 2 with a number of amps (Quad 909, Cary Rocket 88, Roksan Caspian integrated) and it worked well with all of them. At the time I had a smaller (8 X 10 X 8) listening room and listened very near field...
Best speaker that Proac ever made
Ladok, I owned the original Response 2 for about 9 years and it is a great speaker. My change to the Response 2.5 was an improvement to me, especially in bass response.
Rega Arm mods-is it really woth t it?
Lloydc - I agree with you. I think users are better served getting a different arm instead of many many upgrades. Of course getting a different arm will not relieve the upgrade desire. And the seemingly endless upgrade path with Rega product upgra...
Starting HT from scratch - 6k budget
RTI is also your friend unless you want lots of remote controls. I have one and it is a great remote control system. Save room in your budget for this or something similar.
