New Pass Labs Go To
Mark is one of the good guys in all of audio. And certainly Nelson Pass, Kent and crew are too. Makes sense that they worked so well together. Enjoy the music, Mark!
KLaudio or Degritter Mark II
@randyk  Thank you! How cool is it that you could easily upgrade to the Mk II? Here’s to Estonian innovation!
KLaudio or Degritter Mark II
I had the KLAudio for several years. At the beginning of the year, I made a switch to the Degritter Mk II.  For me, it’s no contest. The Degritter is better at cleaning. Period. I think this is because you can use a cleaning agent with it, wherea...
Am I broken? Am I stuck? Do I have to return my audiophile card now?
Congratulations! It's always better to scratch that itch especially if you're able to! They look super cool. And I'm sure they sound just like you imagined they would, if not even better. Enjoy them.
Why Don’t You Post Your System on Your Profile?
Thank you @ghdprentice @lalitk and @kota1  It was a long, windy road. And the OP got me thinking that I had no excuse not to post, especially if I'm going to chime in with my opinion on stuff. Of course it's never really "done"...
Why Don’t You Post Your System on Your Profile?
Thank you @vonhelmholtz and @mahgister - most appreciated coming from you
Why Don’t You Post Your System on Your Profile?
I finally posted my system.
Am I broken? Am I stuck? Do I have to return my audiophile card now?
+1 @ozzy My experience is: when you have the itch, you itch. (All things being equal like “affordability”.) The itch will go away, at some point, afterwards…   And @bigfatpaulie yes you are crazy. We are all crazy here. But it’s okay. Because ...
Your experience of moving to two subs
@tony1954 Agreed: a distributed bass array is the way to go. But if you can’t get there then two is better than none. Regardless, as others have stated, you need to put in the time & effort to optimize it. For me, it was one of the most cost-e...
XLO electric cable company : Anybody home ?!
@jafant  Spiral Groove turntable / Pass XP-17 phono / EMIA Autofomer / Pass XA60.5s Distributed Bass Array RSX Beyond power cords / RSX Beyond phono cable / Synergistic and DH Labs interconnects / Silversmith Fidelium speaker cables
Wayne's Audio Turntable Periphery Stabilizing Outer Ring
I’m with @z32kerber  No going back for me. It may be a case of YMMV but for my table it improves the contact with the platter, regardless of record, and seems like the last piece of the turntable setup puzzle for me. I also find it super easy to ...
Silversmith Fidelium
I absolutely love my Fideliums running between my Pass XA60.5s and Borresen Z1s. (I believe Jeff Smith is working on interconnects as well and I’d really like to try them when ready.) My other cables and power cords are a mix of RSX (power, phono...
Does anybody pay a pro to dial their system in?
Yes and it’s the best decision that I’ve made in this hobby. I’m a music lover first and and audiophile second. Bringing in a pro doesn’t limit your opportunity to play around, change or tweak things. But they bring expertise, tools and experience...
XLO electric cable company : Anybody home ?!
Roger Skoff sold XLO some time ago. His new venture is RSX Technologies.  FWIW, I have his Beyond power cords and phono cable. Really, really like them and chose them after a shootout with Synergistic, Shunyata and AQ.
Absorption, Diffusion or a combination of it all?
@Gordon Yes, that was my experience. Mike Major was the guy that helped me. I submitted all my stuff. He replied right away that he was stacked up and would need some time to review. (I liked that b/c he set the expectation up front.) He wrote a ...
