Mcintosh amp suggestion
thanks for the thoughts.  I'm about 90% gaming and movies on this system, hence the AVR.  I do want music to sound good, for sure, but I'm not quite to the point yet of getting a higher end AVR that might improve the music. Wasn't aware the meter...
HT and 2 channel in same room? 1 or 2 systems?
@elliottbnewcombjr ideally, that would be best, but I just don't have anymore room.  Its really in the man cave or nowhere else. Again, the room is not well treated, but really getting a lack of bass from the LS.  I've only had them for a couple ...
HT and 2 channel in same room? 1 or 2 systems?
I'll take a look again at HT bypass.  Ideally I'd use the Willsenton 8w tube amp in 2 channel and then be able to switch over to my Monolith 5x200 amp for HT use, but again, getting way complicated perhaps just to try and keep the tubes in the mix.
HT and 2 channel in same room? 1 or 2 systems?
thanks for the thoughts. "Anyone thinking they need two systems didn't setup their HT properly." - yes, really the only downside to running everything thru my AVR is that I won't have the tubes, but I guess that's just a mental thing I'd need to ...
2 subs connected to a 2 channel amp?
This is a crazy topic as I'll find one discussion seems to say "high level connection is the right way to connect an amp with no sub out" and then the next discussion will say you need high level to line converters, etc.
2 subs connected to a 2 channel amp?
@larry5729  "If you purchased a pair of REL subwoofers you wouldn’t have had to deal with this."   Is there something special about the REL’s? Wouldn’t any sub with a high level input work? Seems there are a few including HSU, Rythmik, etc
2 subs connected to a 2 channel amp?
Well that's an interesting idea. Didn't even know it had a sub out until you said something.  :) So connection to speaker out of the node to the sub, L/R speaker connection as normal out of the integrated amp and then I just need to use the node'...
2 subs connected to a 2 channel amp?
The subs probably won't be co-located with the speakers, so I was just assuming you want both left and right signal to all subs. Similar to what you'd do with just a single or with a home theater setup would do with 4 or more (although via RCA). ...
2 subs connected to a 2 channel amp?
Thanks.  Sub isn't dedicated to the speaker necessarily. I just have a bigger room and from what I understand, dual subs help even out response and give you the necessary compression.  Anyway, amp is a Willsenton r300, arriving tomorrow.  Speaker...
2 subs connected to a 2 channel amp?
I would love some instructions, if you know of any.    Subs I am looking at only have high level in, not out, FYI.
The problem with absorption panels- it kills the fine details
where is a good place to begin to find out how to properly treat a specific room? I have a fairly large area (media room over a 3 car garage) with wood floors.  Just picked up some new (to me) La Scalas and not getting the wow factor I was hoping...
Ordered a Willsenton R300
Do you pay customs fees when ordering from China Hifi?  If so, approx how much are they?
Ordered a Willsenton R300
Thinking about this amp.  Is the decision of Amazon vs China Hifi just ease of return via Amazon?  Are there any other considerations? the cheap part of me says to go with china hifi to save a couple hundred but im just not sure
Home theater and 2 channel setup from same speakers?
OK, thanks.  I've got some reading to do now.  I've heard about HT bypass but have ignore until now.  I have an Onkyo rz50 and would like to get the Willsenton r300 for 2 channel
LSA VT-70
Any comparisons of the LSA vs the similarly priced Willsentons that are around $1500?  What are the other big competitors at this price?  Seems to check all of the boxes, just wanna make sure I'm not missing something major.  This would be my firs...
