I don't have a multimeter.  This is my basement Home Theater and I do have cheap LED light bulbs in use.  I turned them off to see if I still get the hum. I'll check it over the next few days to see what happens.   Yes, that's the picture of the amp.

I'm using a Harman PA5800 that I recently purchased from a friend. I've had it for less than a month. The transformer is not loose, and the amp appears to be in excellent condition.  I also moved the amp to another location in my house and the amp...

Thx lowrider.  Amp is SS and hums only thru transformer. Hum goes up in volume and then down in a cyclical type pattern.

Hums every time the amp is on?  YesHums no matter the time of day? Mostly in morning and sometimes at night. Very sporadic Hums ever since owning the amp? YesAny changes to system/house electrical devices? None since purchasing the amp.

I'm pretty sure all NAD receivers are capable of handling 4 ohm loads
Which AVR to purchase
I've tried the NAD, Arcam, and now have a Cambridge. You can't go wrong with any of them. I'm very happy with the Cambridge.
B&K507 vs Rotel 1057 vs Arcam350 vs Emotiva UTS?
you'll like the arcam the best. I've had B&K receivers and NAD receivers, and an Arcam 200. The Arcam is the best sounding of the bunch.

One other line I forgot to mention is NAD. They are sweet as well - really nice smooth sound.

You can't go wrong with HK. I've tried them all and I keep one on hand because I always end up going back to it. If you don't like HK, I'd suggest Rotel at your price point; you can't go wrong with them either. For your sub, I'd suggest HSU.
