Whats the best sounding tube cd player up until now? Vintage or newer.
Don't know if it's the best cause it's the only tube cd player I've heard and I'm sure alot on the site would say it isn't but I enjoy the music from my Jolida JD 100.
Speaker wire... Diy?
I'm using Western Electric wire and Dueland cables bought off this site for a bit more in price and both sound pretty good to me.

Have them matched with Infinity RS-4000 with emit tweeters which I think help.Had the Jolida connected to an ASL integrated tube but to my ears the Cambridge with the Wolfson dac chips sounds better. My opinion is there is no waste as long as my ea...

I already had the two components but just wanted to ask before unplugging and switching around everything so I thought I'd ask opinions before hand.I'm using a Jolida JD100 with a Sansui 4000 an liked what I hear. Thanks for your input adg101.

Thanks for the suggestions.

The table is the original SL-1700 but it does have the spring platform.
Wolfson dac
Thank you.

True.I was curious about the Onkyo, the reviews where good for the most part and I like the open sound stage of the Cambridge and hoping someone had heard the Onkyo. Thank you for your response.
Wolfson dac
No takers on this one?
Sansui 4000
A pair of SP-2000 came along with the purchase but haven’t seen many favorable opinions on them.

Thanks for your response.

Smoother on the top end but still good detail with tad better bass.Using a 2m blue cartridge,Morrow ph2 from turntable to preamp,Dueland 20 ga from phono pre to tube integrated amp.Pro Ject Debut Carbon is the table.

Have compared it to a Cambridge Audio 640p and a vintage NAD 3020 phono section.Maybe not the holy grail in phono stages but pretty good for there budget.
