Where Do I Go from Here?
Steaksta — What a compelling recommendation. Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts here. I shall track down where I can hear the K2s.
Where Do I Go from Here?
Soix — thank you for your incisive observations.
Where Do I Go from Here?
First, of all -- to ALL of you, a big THANK YOU! I really appreciate your taking the time to respond to my original posting. It means a lot, as I value all of the responses. I see that I provided an inadequate description initially, so permit me ...
Where Do I Go from Here?
Dear M-DB, Thank you for your thoughtful response. The nearest Rockport dealer is 250 miles away, and he doesn't make house calls for such a distance. There is a local Magico dealer, but, again, he has expressed similar unwillingness to provide a...
Benchmark AHB2 Power Cable Upgrade
Today, I tried, for the first time, an Audience forte 3 power cable instead of my “go to” Shunyata Venom 14 power cable. The forte 3 provides much better flexibility and sound quality at least good as the Venom 14.
Should I get an SL-1200G
I just purchased a SL 1200G to replace my 39-year-old SOTA Sapphire turntable w/ Premier FT3 arm (both were in pristine condition). I kept my Hana SL cartridge.  I can already say that this Technics turntable — expertly set up by my dealer (Sunny...
Any experience with SVS 3000 Micro
I own two pairs of SVS subwoofers: the SB-16 Ultras and the 3000 Micros. Unless a person wants a little bit of baa extension with one’s stand-mounted speakers, the X000 line of subwoofers is the better way to go.
Wireworld Eclipse 8 interconnect - opinions please
I am delighted with my Eclipse 8 interconnects. I use. Them between my phono preamp and my preamp.
Grimm MU1/Mola Mola Tambaqui combo vs. Grimm MU2
I also know Bill, and let me assure anyone who was left wondering by a prior posting that Bill Parish is a man of unquestionable integrity. I had the opportunity to A/B compare (streaming the exact same tracks) the Grimm MU1/Tambaqui vs. the Grimm...
Looking for a CD / SACD player. Also, tell me about Esoteric
Please take a look at the Bricasti Design M19 CD/SACD transport. Its MSRP is exactly $10,000. Made in the US, the M19 competes well against the Esoteric transports. I should mention that transports are NOT players; they do not have internal DACs.
Warm relaxed digital coax
I second the DH Labs recommendation. They pass through the available detail while “filing down” any overly bright edges of the sound (at least in my system).
Ethernet cables
I am now using a Shunyata Sigma V2 Ethernet cable between my switch And my DAC because of its exquisite noise filtering capabilities and DH Labs Air Matrix  Cryo analog interconnect cables between my DAC and my preamp because of its intrinsic swee...
Recommend a DAC based on Analog Devices?
I just want to add for the benefit of the OP that all of the Bricasti DACs primarily incorporate chips designed and manufactured by Analog Devices.
Recommend a DAC based on Analog Devices?
Bricasti Designs — M1 Series 2, M3, and M21.
What the Best Dac have you heard or owned. How could you tell it was that good.
Follow up. I purchased a Bricasti M21 (with its optional internal media renderer), and it is now resident in my audio system. Initially, I found that while the playback was more clear, the soundstage wider and deeper, imaging was more precise, an ...
