Disagreements and Conflicts between Audiophiles have we lost our brotherhood and maturity?
Lots of bad influencers in high places these days. The results are predictable which makes it even sadder.    @mapman absolutely this. There are bad examples in prominent places and people are following suit, sadly.  
Some people actively participate but rarely if ever start a thread.
I can find most of the answers I need in threads that have already been started...but I do enjoy participating in other threads from time to time

Comparing speakers at home questions
The best way to compare speakers is by combining A/B testing with extended listening. A/B testing (quickly switching between speakers using the same song) highlights immediate differences in tonal balance, bass, vocal clarity, and treble sharpnes...

Why some streaming hi res versions are lower SPL
It mostly comes down to mastering. Some hi-res versions use a different master than the CD, which can affect volume and dynamics. If the hi-res version has less compression or peak limiting, it might sound quieter but more natural. EQ differences ...
