Mark Levimson No.333 I have a 331 that has had no problems. I am wondering if it it is best (i.e. longer life) to leave the amp on "ON" or on "STANDBY" when not in use. Also, Tim@rambis.ca do you know how old your friends 331 is that he has had problems with and was i...
Feedback on "Boltz" CD racks I purchase a Boltz cd rack (600 cd model) several months ago and have been incredibly satified with the purchase. The build quality is excellent and I get more comments on my cd rack than my Mark Levinson amplifier. Great product...great value! Hi...
Dynaudio, ProAc, Totem??? Wow Mar00, Sounds to me that you are upset since you have not sold your Signum's yet. I sent you back an email stating that I was not going to purchase them and if you remember correctly I never told you that I was going to buy them in the first p...
Power Cord for Wadia I have a Wadia 850 and have had very good results with a Harmonic Technology Pro AC-11 w/ the optional Shurter IEC. Also, does anyone have an update as to the fate of Wadia?
Who R U? Welcome to LA Todd! Great thread BTW David. My name is John and I am 30 years old born and raised in Southern California (I know this might depress some of you). I have been into hifi since I was 13. My first "real system" was a used Carver amp an...
best inerconnect $300 to $400 Just replaced my Nordost SPM interconnect with the Harmonic Technology Pro Silway Mk II. Although the SPM is a fantastic cable, the HT sounds better in my system and at more than half the price of the SPM who can complain. Good Luck...John
Bright Star vs. Symposium I had the Bright Star and sold it to purchase the Symposium. They are both exceptional units however, I feel the Symposium is a better design and more simplified compared to the Bright Star. Quite honestly the Symposium just looks better. Either w...
Full Range or Monitor? Tml2, The size of my room is 10x12 w/ hardwood floors covered w/ an 8x5 area rug. The celing is 8 ft and the walls are lath and plaster. Also, the speakers are set up on the long side of the room. Definitely not my dream room.
Wadia? Should You Go Direct In Or Preout I would advise that you run the Wadia direct. I just pulled my Audio Research LS-3 out of my system and am running my 850 direct. Everything has improved and since CD is my only source I was able to scale down my system to just an amp and CDP. Goo...
Linn vs. Wadia Hifinut604, Glad to see you were able to audition both players. Sorry if I came off overly defensive. I agree the personal attacks were out of line. BTW, I just turned 30 last week and have not lost my hearing yet either. Always good to see young ...
Linn vs. Wadia Hifinut604, It is always good to see someone critique a component they have never even heard! You really must be a nut(case). BTW I have to go now so I can bow down to my shiny machined aluminum box that happens to sound fantastic. Good luck...it ...
Recommend CD Player with Volume Control Once again Carl you are right. Regarding this thread my vote is for either the Wadia 850 or 860...Carl's favorites and BTW I own an 850. Now Carl don't get your panties in a twist over this one...
Linn vs. Wadia I absolutely agree w/ Stang500hpaol. I too have owned a HDCD player (Classe CDP.5) and when I upgraded to a Wadia 850 everything came alive. Another fellow Wadia owner for life.
Recommend CD Player with Volume Control How many of you are as tired of Carl as I am?
Linn vs. Wadia I think Fsacks has jumped the gun on this one. Wadia is going through a reorganization. See the other two other threads for details. BTW...Wadia kills the Ikemi in every area. The Linn is not nearly as well rounded and musical as the 830. |
