OMG. What now?
That’s it. It’s the ultimate blessing or, dare I say it, the ultimate curse. I’ve reached the end of the audiophile’s dilemma. Or have I? What now? just enjoy the moment(s) 1. I’m not using a preamp between my digital source and my amp. Both ...
Are Expensive Balanced Interconnects Necessary?
my short answer is sometimes, but generally not nearly as important (as unbalanced rca ic’s) btw, nothing in high end audio is necessary, the entire hobby is not necessary -- to have the means and desire play with any and all of this is a luxury ...

Diy Audio
inexpensive speakers are everywhere, amazon, monoprice, many other volume vendors not sure diy will result in a less money spent nor better sound for measly $$ spent
Can anyone tell me where the progress in audio went?
few industries are immune from needing continual sales to sustain... high end audio is no exception so the marketing machinery, in all its forms, keeps cranking that is not to say that progress is not being made, in both the absolute front, and ...

1) What you hear in the nearfield is dominated by the speakers input input into the room. 2) What you hear in the farfield is dominated by the output of the room - the early relections plus the reverberant field. 3) In most domestic rooms, the cr...
