opa good cd transport will deliver a solid, noise free (electrical noise, not mechanical noise) bitstream to the dac through whichever connection method it provides ... so the notion of ’matching a dac to a transport’ is not super critical if both...

@audioguyread what the op is saying -- his lp surface noise is much much more prominent with his switching out only the phono stagewhich is why we are helping him think through why this may be the case

aq cables are just fine, well made, neutraldon't go up their line into the crazy expensive ones (true for any brand of wire)... you are just paying for the owners' home renovation...  :)
