All the brands I don't like...
Mijostyn +1 Anyone who reads every word of every post probably has too much time on their hands. I like Erik's post in general, but sometimes don't feel like reading every single solitary word. And to those who are so clever they had to "read sham...
Guest suddenly takes it upon herself to move my speakers
Not having read the whole thread, did you mention whether or not you liked the sound better with the speakers in their new location?
Last Preamp? Could The Search Finally Be Over?
I was just looking on the Herron website, it seems that the OPs unit has been discontinued and the new model is the same price and can take a variety of tubes. Hope he/she knows this.
All the brands I don't like...
In all of audio there is only one gear I don't like, Luxman integrateds.  Treble like a dentist drill, sucked out mids, bloated bass. Only the deaf need apply.  Hah, just kidding.
Just another Orange fuse thread
I am honored that I am now reading the script of those who have learned to listen.
Higher End DACs
It is interesting that Djones is discussing the role of the modem.  Would the same streamer/DAC sound different if connected to different brand modems or different quality modems within a brand?
What is this speaker cable connection?
+1 gdnrbob, the really easy clear solution is with a simple wrap of electrical tape.  No reason to listen to those that get all high drama about it, the connectors will likely work just fine.  As mentioned above, if they are too long to connect fr...

10 meters of interconect cable is too long.
I think before I spent all that money for something I did not know for sure would work I would order something like this, from Monoprice or online.  You can buy two 35 foot RCA's for a total of about $30 plus shipping.  I don't know whether these ...
ARC 160M Meters
Can't remember where or when, but I believe some meters are dual purpose and selectable between the two types of units being measured.  Long shot, but could this possibly be the case with yours?
What is your most beautiful component?
That would be my recently modded Museatex Meitner monoblock amps.https://www.ukaudiomart.com/details/649273320-meitner-mtr101-monoblock-amps-rare-msrp-3400/images/12...
What are you using to drive your Tektons?
A full size pick-up truck.
Interesting study
As with Mijostyn I also will never buy a GM product.  My caddy had two different metals for the cylinders and heads and due to the different expansion and contraction rates were known to blow head gaskets.  Also known by GM and anyone who worked o...
