Magic is what I listen for. If you don't hear something that moves you, move on! I am cheap so I buy everything used. Almost. I did buy a streamer new. Got a deal though. Speakers take time to burn in. Some people sell them before they even know ...

Fritz Speakers
You circled back to the right choice. My ears do not tolerate levels above 75dB for long. I own the Carrera BE 7s. Perfect speaker with the SB acoustic BE tweeter that is not too hot. I use a Pass 25INT. Good match.

Thinking about another amplifier (Galion)
Another sub or three will take care of the bass issue. Re the Galion. Google Doge Amps. I had an email from them 2 weeks ago. It seemed like the same amp as Galion for $1,700. Another to compare to is the Wilsenton Amps Line Magnetic and Tanno...

The New Amati G5 or Joseph Audio Pearl Graphene
I heard the Pearls again at Axpona. That room was as good as any. The Franco Serblin line has a $20k model and a $40k model that to me sound amazing.  Neither clinical in my book.    
Speaker Recommendations: Corner Placement
If you need a speaker that sounds good when placed within a foot of back and side walls, you have eliminated 95% of the product sold. The room is large. Klipsch Corner horns come to mind.  Audionotes can be close to walls but in a big room might ...
