Stereophile complains it's readers are too informed.
I think you're safe as far as being informed, Erik. "Its" is the word you were looking for in your thread title.
Has anyone finally decided to sell their Turntable and Vinyl collection?
@emailists"but celebrity actors don’t work for vinyl"Elijah Wood works for vinyl.
Platter wobble
I’ll post more often when you promise to give up on the idea of buying aftermarket platters for a $75 turntable with a plug-in cartridge.
Platter wobble
Anyone else notice that the OP apparently still hasn’t laid the offending platter(s) on a flat surface to determine if they’re the problem rather than something more serious? I’m not sensing a lot of commitment here.
First time mount perfect!!!
I’ve gotten that lucky.
Is it possible to have vinyl nearly noise free?
@mijostynLAST hasn’t used CFCs since 1993. GTFOH with your biased misinformation.
Forever turntable under $2000
Have any of you Technics fanboys considered the fact that some people don’t like how direct drive turntables sound? Because you should.
I'm putting to rest worrying about sibilance
I stopped plodding my way through the OP’s 4,000-word paragraph when he got to the part where he doesn’t bother aligning using the cantilever because it’s easier using the cartridge body. Bye, Felicia.
What are the speakers you very rarely find in the Used market(Audiogon or Anywhere)?
Maybe the OP should consider not making offers and just pull the damn trigger.
The Phoenix Spatial Coherence preamp
This thing really intrigues me but I've never known a piece of audio equipment that comes with so many warnings. I feel like one misstep will result in the tweeters, dogs, cats and kids all on fire.
Michael Fremer's system
No one here has heard the system and yet somehow has an expert opinion. Strange how that works.
REL Subwoofer Rattling
Japan and China are different countries. Just saying.
How good is the Technics 1200 Mk2 with all the KAb upgrades?
It never ceases to amaze me when someone actually owns the piece of equipment and yet continually asks if it's any good rather than just listening.
Fully Modded Origin Live OL1 or Stock Rega RB-600?
twl, you should come back and provide some info on the mod, or even a link. A Google search using the words "HiFi" and "Rega tonearm" is not a viable option.
Digital Music sounds too bright?
Or you could just not put a giant TV between your speakers.
