Anybody find themselves revisiting old threads?
I'll re-visit old threads to see if I owe anyone a reply or to just read and catch up. I like looking through the archives because there is a lot of info in there.
Power cord replacement where first?
HiThere are lots of thoughts and opinions on this. From doing a a quick search in the forum archives in older threads members said they used PK14 on their CDP and/or DACs. Some say you should put your best cord on your source as everything starts ...
Insignia 6.5" Two Way
Hi TimlubThanks for chiming in. I did buy a pair of the Insignia's as they were on sale still after I made the post. I know I can do the filling of the grooves and re-enforcement of the cabinets. I'm going to look into the Zaph crossover addition....
Spica TC-50 and amp advice
Hi coffee2 and Texas42Thanks for the input. I'm contempating the Spica TC-50 speakers still. I did see some B&K ST-140 amps on sale here but I'm really attached to my Sumo Nine and Hafler DH-220. Now I have to find proper stands for the Spcia ...
Jolida.net???
I need to read up on this as well. The .com version spells their name as JoLida while the .net just has it Jolida. Really weird. When you look at their products it is all identical. I wonder what would one see and hear if you bought the same produ...
Addiction to Brand
Electronics wise I'm mad about McCormack. My absolute dream system would be all McCormack taken to the Ultra Platinum level. If possible all ICs would be McCormack Wonderlinks too. I'd have a McCormack Ultra Platinum SST-1 -> Ultra Platinum DAC...

From doing a quick google search I saw a fair amount of positive reviews of the Classe CAV 150. Is there any way you can audition it? Does it have a lot of hours on it? What gear are you going to use with it or the Emotiva XPA-5?Emotiva does have ...
Any benefit from" same brand" amp/pre-amp??
I always try to keep within the same brand of preamps and amps to take away the guess work. I don't know how to interpret specs of amps and preamps to see if they will work well together. And even then it may be more of a crapshoot if an un-matche...
Reading threads and posts when selling and buying
Why would you be very wary of a member who posts a lot but doesn't have a system? They may just not want to go through the ordeal or have the time. Me I'm not posting a system because I just don't know if I can handle the scrutiny. That and a lot ...
Speaker Impedance ... nominal 6 ohms
Hi KossiThanks for posting a thread about this topic. I always wondered about this. I always thought that if your speaker had a 6 ohm nominal impedance that either your receiver (if possible) would have to be set to 4 ohms or the 4 ohm taps on a t...
Tube pre w/ remote and phono: used 5-$600.....
I too am looking for a tube preamp with good phono stage and a remote for under $600 but keep striking out. I decided to forgo the remote option and focus if it has a quality phono stage, multiple inputs and possibly multiple outputs. I did see so...

Hi everyoneSome time has passed since this thread was updated. Does anyone have any more thoughts on the Bedini ultra Clarifier Quadri Beam? I found one of these for sale on another site and was curious about them. Thanks
Hafler preamps - good, not so good, and history?
Does anyone else have any thoughts on Hafler preamps? I keep trying to acquire a DH-110 at a reasonable price but keep striking out. The Hafler Iris has caught my eye though but am curious what other members think about it. I love Hafler amps thou...
