ENTIRE SYSTEM NEEDED TO SELL HiSorry for your loss. IMO you might have to sell the system in pieces. It can be difficult to sell an entire system in one shot. Since you are a novice here on Audiogon and selling here can really test your patience and sanity I would say try to ...
ever used KT88 for bass and el34 for mids/treble Hi yani55404Can your amps handle the Tung Sol KT150 tube? The reason I ask is a friend of mine who is more a of tube aficionado than myself believes the Tung Sol KT150 tube in the right amp gives you wonderful bass and the mid range sweetness of...
Pioneer DV-09 plays DVD's not CD's help Hi Zimmy709I've owned the Pioneer DV-09 player and never had an issue playing CDs, SACDs etc. I put them into the player label up like any other player. Are you trying to play a CD-R? I only played regular CDs with it and never had a problem using...
Is it possible to be an audiophile and be happy with what you have I agree with Mapman. My family has proven it to me that one can be an audiophile and not change. For the most part they have the same gear for years and kept on enjoying music. They did acquire pieces of gear through the years here and there that ...
I am sick of Adele I'm fine with Adele. I'd rather hear her voice than Ke$ha or any of the other pop starlets who rely so heavily on autotune.I would like for her to sing a happy more upbeat song once in awhile. I keep thinking her concerts are extremely morbid with...
ELAC Debut B6 speakers Hi AudiofiliacWhen I called Music Direct about the Debut B6 speakers they told me about the demo they had with the ELAC people. They used the app with just one subwoofer. They didn't mention using it with 2. You may have to call ELAC to be sure.
Any recommendations on a good service shop? Hi speeddeacon In the NY Metro area I've had Scott Gramlich of SG Custom Sound do a lot of repairs for me. He is out in Douglaston Queens NY. Near the LIRR. When I couldn't drive out to him I mailed him amps to repair. He worked on my Accuphase E...
record cleaning methods...................... cheapsest why I've seen is a Spin Clean, a small shop vac and a vinyl vac wand attachment. All can be had for under $100 I think but it is a very clumsy process.
KUDOS to Music Direct Thanks for the heads up bdp24. I'm pondering the upgrade after reading some of that discussion over in AC. There is a youtube video though where a reviewer compared both that is deterring me from making the change. I guess time will tell. One thin...
I've Noticed Lately That There's Threads About Being Noticed Lately I think Taters and A'gon are working hand in hand. They let him to post trolling type topics onto the forum which then creates more traffic and posts to the forum. What others have deemed click bait.
KUDOS to Music Direct My experiences with Music Direct have been great so far. With CDs and LPs there was never any kind of a problem. Everything was packaged well and shipped quickly.Recently I bought their store demo Elac Debut B6 speakers and they were almost new. T...
I am really disappointed with the hip-hop enthusiasts on Audiogon Most of the demographic on the Audiogon forum just doesn't match the demographic of the Hip Hop community. I stopped listening to Hip Hop and Rap when it became more Hip Pop in the early 2000s. I have a good amount of Hip Hop and Rap LPs and CDs f...
upgrading to class D amp..... I say check out Red Dragon Audio's Class D amp offerings. I have the Red Dragon M1000 Mk1 monoblocks and I couldn't be happier. With my Ohm MicroWalsh Short SEs the M1000s made the music from them more lively than when I was using a Hafler 9505 or...
What is the hierarchy of the Melody Preampliers HiI would say contact Hugh Nugyen of Angel City Audio. He is a nice guy to deal with and sells lots of Melody gear.http://angelcityaudio.com/contact-us/
Toslink/optical cable recommendations I also use the Unique glass toslink cable that Kijanki recommends in my HT system. To me it was a big improvement over the premium plastic toslink from Monoprice. Very good quality that won't break the bank. |
