Fritz Speakers To be clear, I should have said low volume and not low level. That's what I'm after, but I think you all get it.
Anyone using the JPLAY app ? @j_andrews @cleeds That’s what I get for reading too fast, sorry.
Anyone using the JPLAY app ? Using JRiver for many years. It's also been updated many times over its long history. There are no "operational bugs", that's just crazy, JRiver does not release buggy software. Each release improves it even further.

FAVORITE POWER CABLE under $100 (1M) I don't think you'll find much difference at this price point. Well, they might be different, but they won't necessarily improve your listening experience.
CD TRANSPORT THAT MAKES AN AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE Thought I would add my impressions of the RS2 T after 3 weeks of use. Although I see the OP has already made his decision, this might be helpful to others. I’ll get the nitpicks out of the way first. *I wish there was some kind of handle or finge...
Music Server Advice You’re right about vinyl quality. For the brief time I toyed with vinyl again a few years ago I was appalled at the quality of some of the offerings. Surface noise in some cases was obvious, meaning they’re using low-grade regrind material, as wel...
Questions on PC audio calibration Some server-based software apps allow you to invoke "loudness", as it used to be called, by playing with tone controls. I use Foobar for managing digital files but not as a player. Many plug-ins available for Foobar. If you do a search you may fi...
Music Server Advice I can't advise between your options but can comment on the Aurenders. I went from a home-built server with a lot of top-end components to an N10 and the N10 blew the server away. But the app. It's terrible (others will argue). Aurender is not res...
Dummy Speaker Load @ieales Thanks for your input lol.
CD TRANSPORT THAT MAKES AN AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE @charles1dad I have an Auralic DAC but will be upgrading to the Holo May. The Auralic served well for many years but it’s time to move up. I’m familiar with the Audio Bacon site and LPS reviews, great stuff. That site seems to be sadly winding ...
Dummy Speaker Load Thanks all. It's not just breaking in the CD player, it's treating all the electronics and cabling. Moving the speakers and reversing polarity is not the best option for me. So if all I need is a resistor like oddiofyl and carlsbad mention, then...
CD TRANSPORT THAT MAKES AN AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE Just stumbled on this post after being off Agon for a while, and perfect timing as I’m researching a transport. Lots of good info and especially thanks for charles1dads informative (and persuasive) posts. Planning on picking up an RS2T this week. ...
The Cable Co I’ve had good and bad experiences and have given them thousands of dollars. The guy who normally takes care of me E**** has been mostly good, not always. A few times I’ve spoken to others with less luck. The worst time was about 7 years ago when I... |
