Conrad Johnson amp and Pass Labs Pre I read Nelson Pass on a DYI site say that CJ and Pass work well together so, I imagined his opinion was a good one. j
thinking of switching from conrad johnson...... So much conjecture. I have Coppy’s Premier 350. It’s outstanding. I don’t get anyone who thinks 2005 amp that was absolute reference top of the line would be ”too old”. Ridiculous! Great yesterday can still be great today. If it sounds good, etc....
Wilson Audio SOPHIA II"s or III"s; good or bad passion.;on CJ gear ? I don't have this problem with my Wilson Sophia II's. In addition, I use Acoustic ZEN cables, They are bi-wire on one end and not on the other. I simply use both wires on the speaker end and the one set coming from the amp. I do not feel the Sophi...
Speakers under $5000 maintained a reputation for quality sound over the last 15 years. Wilson Audio is an excellent thought.. What amp; pre do you run?
Furman IT-REF 20I USERS- Tired Subject but Would like to hear from owners/users In essence, the IT-REF 20i generates clean power while providing AC voltage, series multi stage and non sacrificial protection. I'll assume the REF 20 does not do under voltage because it generates clean power itself and has capacitance to store po...

Wilson Audio SOPHIA II"s or III"s; good or bad passion.;on CJ gear ? That is very interesting to hear medwardo. I just picked up my first pair of Sophia 2’s this past weekend. Still assessing them. I will say for anyone listening. My Revel Performa3 F208’s held a good ground but the Sophia’s are in a different clas...

SME IV, 309,used vs Origin LiveEncounter MK3cTonearm or Illustrious for J.A. Michell ORBE Cart is a SoundSmith Zephyr III and will match a SME V well I believe. Also yes blind statements take the back seat I agree. To be honest I was going to just use a JA Michell Technoarm "A", the second gen of Technoarm, but no real reviews on the "A...

what speakers to buy This is an old thread, but noted: I have Revel Performa3 F208's with Bluejean cables biwired and on CJ tube and SS equipment. The placement in my room is critical, but not complicated. These are very good speakers for Jazz, vocals, and rock as well.
Good carts with SME V I’m a SME V user on a JA Michel ORBE SE. please save yourself and look at SOUNDSMITH Mc/Moving iron.
Wilson Audio SOPHIA II"s or III"s; good or bad passion.;on CJ gear ? Mark. Thank you for your experienced thoughts. Did you ever solve your brightness issue you had when you switched from the AR’s?? I also looked at your pictures and saw you had a shot of your speaker wire on the amp and it was connected at 8ohn...
what can reasonably be expected of a seller? tweak1- I hate to contradict your thoughts but you are 180 degrees on the other side of my belief as both a seller of high dollar mid market equipment and as a buyer. If you provide the pick up slip and there is an issue; then you have the broken... |
