Guys-at this level, careful gear selection is paramount to achieve the proper system synergy.  I have only auditioned the mid-level Nordost cabling and rather enjoyed the experience w/ Naim gear.Happy Listening!

I concur w/ jriggy- the Vandy Treo/Quattro are very finicky, to say the very least.  The 1st order cross-over is very different from other brands, IMO.I love my Thiel speakers (another 1st order cross-over) and demonstrates another point of view.

Rob,take your pre amp to the dealer/retailer for the ultimate decision on wether or not it sounds great.  I will add that a Conrad Johnson pre-amp would not hurt.  Happy Listening!

I can remember when both the SACD and those 1st generation spinners came out via Sony ES and Marantz.  I also remember the corresponding prices and you guys are spot-on!
