Blind Listening Tests? I am sooooo mad! I've held back from all of you on this blind testing thing, and now... Geeze I'm mad!I've been running a controlled lab test using 150 non-related white rats from all over the world. I've had each one implanted with an electrode a...
Blind Listening Tests? I'm lost now, I've got USA, Italy, France and Japan going. I guess I can still click in that Philips helped develope my SACD! Detlof, My experiments went on for days, it's tough keeping six women entertained, oh and we had the stereo thing too. Li...
Best and Worst customer service? Steve that stinks. Yours and my three experiences with Dunlavy are so different. It just goes to show you, life is strange! J.D.
Blind Listening Tests? Well Detlof, I can not begin to thank-you for your insites. I had to finally ask the six 24 year old women to leave. We sure learned alot. Oh and we listened to the system too, the verdict, there are those who believe and those who don't. Of the o...
Any Famous people on Audiogon ? I had a top ten selling video and have recently come in to a lot of cash. I'm still young, very willing and all natural, well... My turn ons are older men, money and posing nude. With my new found wealth I'm looking for some help in selecting an a...
Multi channel much better than stereo? I believe the intent of this post was to cause trouble, but I do think the multi-channel if handled well could be of interest. The SACD format has already got some labels recording in six channel DSD. If the SACD format continues, I believe we wil...
Latest comments on PS Audio PP? I use the multiwave option and I think it's amazing. I had tried a number of other conditioner products and each one had it's good and bad aspects. I think the PS w/ multiwave is the best of all of them without the downsides. What got me to finall...
SACD player as CD transport? I'm using the NBS Statement Power cord on my SCD-1. It made a huge improvement on the "dark and detail" issue! I've found the balance to be excellant, and the base is tighter and deeper to boot. J.D.
Okay Ladies Suzy, you and I have very similiar taste. I have the IVa's with the SCD-1. I owned the Plinius SA-100MKIII prior to a small fire, inside the amp! NOT THE AMPS FAULT, so please nobody jump down my back. I use an Aloia amp now, very similiar in soun...
Cardas vs NBS? Gmorris, I think Rayhall discribed my experience to a tee! I tried the Signature for a week and as Rayhall discribed on the bright side, but not harsh or unpleasant. I found them very enjoyable but not a big enough gain from my Audio Tekna to just...
Best SACD player? I agree with Kelly for the price no limit. I own the SCD-1 and think it is a very, very good value. I don't think you'd be disapointed with it's "redbook cd" playback. J.D.
Cardas vs NBS? Thet depends on your equipment. The Cardas is a warmer cord, the NBS is extremely revealing (on the bright side). If your equipment is good enough the NBS might be great, otherwise I'd go with the Cardas.
How would you rate your listening room? Albert, I think if your going to build a room for audio and video, you might want to look at the future directions you may go. If six channel is of any intrest to you, and SACD or DVDa live up to there potential, it may be only two or three years ...
Isolation vs. Absorbtion I would second the last two posts. I believe it's very helpful to have the makers of products relavent to the discusion to include themselves in the thread. It only will raise the level of knowledge for all of us, but I do want to know if the pers...
