Hegel Separates vs Integrated amp I've heard both the H200 and the H20 with a separate pre-amp(not the Hegel). Although the H200 was good, the H20 is a keeper amp. Just powerful and smooth. If you could spring for it I would go with separates. Another consideration is the Hegel H3...
Integrated amp for Joseph Audio Pulsars Heard the Pulsars with Hegel H20 amp. Sounded very nice. How about the Hegel H300 integrated? Great reviews- solid state, but musical. Fits into your budget-powerful enough and has a Dac, I believe.
If not B&W 802 speakers then what speakers? Tekton Pendragrons or the new home theater speakers Tekton is just releasing. Get them with a matching center channel and you're all set. Very dynamic and highly efficient. You hear every nuance in a movie.
can I get your input on a inexpensive pre-amp I think the Manley Jumbo Shrimp is just what you may need. Snappy ,lively and neutral, but a hint of fullness, tube magic and fullness. Usually see them used between $1200-$1600. Also outstanding build quality.
New Artist - amazing music Just checked him out on YouTube. Everyone should watch "Signals" video. Mesmerizing guitar.
Hegel H300 I'm waiting for my dealer to get one in so I can audition it. Suppose to be technology based on their reference amp and preamp. Could be outstanding.
Hegel or Wyred 4 sound ? I,too, am interested in both Dacs. I love Hegel equipment. I heard the HD11 and thought it was an improvement over my SonyES5400. Curious as to what Hegel(hd2 or hd11) Dac you compared the W4S Dac. Also, isn't the W4S Dac2 a big jump up from the D...
Powered speakers for basement system? Try the new Emotiva Airmotive6(200watts) or the smaller ones in the line. Plays loud and crystal clear.
Best speakers for Hegel h-100 amp Rackman 1073,what kind of Nordost Leif's are you using(Red Dawn,Blue Heavens's)? I heard the Totem Hawks with higher end Hegel equipment at RMAF and it was incredible. The cabling was also Nordost but I think they were the super expensdive Odin's....
Which active speaker for under $650. Look at the new Emotiva Pro series. The 6" version($799.00 a little over budget) blew me away at RMAF. Huge clear sound with 210 amps in each speaker. I may buy a pair for a porch system. |
