Those rare albums that are great on first listen.
@mahgister thanks for the Four Seasons recommendation. I'm in no way shape or form a classical music listener, but have heard clips of these songs and have been looking to pick up a LP. This will be the version added to my want list on Discogs. Th...
Accuphase or Leben for heavy metal
To the people claiming you want a certain class of amp to play "demanding" metal is wrong. I run @atmasphere class D and a tube phono and pre and am completely satisfied with speed and detail. All amps will work, test a few if you can. Oh and I pl...
Allnic H 7000 XLR out.
What did you end up with @dentdog ? I run single ended from my Allnic's but am thinking of moving up the chain in cable quality and costs and moving to XLR. Curious what you need up with after all.
A GOOD dry record cleaning device
@whart IPA and water? That's a new one! 🍻😂
where I can buy tubes to my ALLNIC PRE (3A/110A and 3A/109B)
Kevalin should be able to help you. John there is very communicative.
Solid State Low powered Amplifiers
Atma-sphere Class D and be done with it. Zero heat. Solved my upstairs summertime heat issue. I'll never sell them and they surpassed my BKK250 sonically.
A Few Nice Words For Upscale Audio
@thecarpathian Not everything is about you, this is a thread about Upscale Audio. Go back to your cage.
A Few Nice Words For Upscale Audio
@audphile1 hahahah   Upacale rules, Kat there had always given solid advice and hooked me up with shirts and special prices. Looks liked she moved on to SME, but she was a solid asset and why I always go to Upacale first.
Young audiophile metal head looking to level up speaker choice
@audphile1 you'd be surprised at how well recorded and pressed metal bands are. I highly encourage you to pick a few LP's up. I'd always heard that saying and I have a ton of metal and punk records that sound fantastic and are recorded, mastered a...
Speaker Spikes - Working Principle
@amtprod Exactly! Sometimes it's hard to describe your scenario and experience, but pictures tell it all. For someone just starting into the decoupling arena like my wife I can highly recommend them. I've read the Townshend's take things a step fu...

Speaker Spikes - Working Principle
So just an update on the Herbie's spike decoupling gliders I picked up, they're fanatic. Upper frequencies are cleaner, more detailed and have much more depth and nuance to them. Mid frequencies didn't change much for me. Lower register bass notes...
Young audiophile metal head looking to level up speaker choice
I listen to primarily hardcore, punk and grind and my room is smaller than yours at 9x13. I’d recommend any room this small to load up on bass traps and at treat first reflections with anything you can afford. Bass bloat was a problem in my smalle...
When you can't unhear !
I just purchased a set of cone spike decoupling gliders from Herbie's and I can't believe the benefits it's provided being upstairs on carpeted subfloors. I should have started with speaker isolation before system upgrades and I'm sure it would ha...
Duplicate Serial Numbers
If they're "pretty high end" and they told you they can't keep their serial numbers sequential without duplication, I'd have a hard time believing they'd support or warranty their products if something happened. Major red flag for the brand.
