| New KT150 tubes? Talked to ARC yesterday. Tubes are still in life test but apparently will be quite a bit more costly than the KT-120. Whether people will want them at the price they end up being, is difficult to say but KT-150's may not be cost effective. | |

| kt-120 or kt-88? You would need a 'scope, a signal generator, and an 8 ohm 'dummy' load to see the difference in RMS power output in ARC products...I have. A bit more power but doubtful it would be audible. The KT-120 is a better sounding output tube in ARC power ... | |

| ARC Vsi60 with KT120 valves - issues Like tone controls, the KT-120 will sound different depending on the amp and system, so there is no right or wrong answer. Bias specs will vary depending on the amp it's put in. ARC runs that tube at 65mV. | |
| Preamp with tone controls? If you don't need a preamp with a remote, consider a used ARC SP-3C. This all tube preamp is a classic and made better in the C version by the use of a FET regulated power supply. The tone controls are defeatable. | |
