Just took Miles Davis, On the Corner off the ‘table. Replaced it with Captain Beefheart, Shiny Beast. I didn’t notice before, but they have a lot in common musically.

pjw81563,  thanks for the link! I also enjoy James Carter quite a bit, and this pairing with Blood is great.I had an opportunity a year or two after Sun Ra sailed off to see James Carter sit in with the Arkestra, another gripping pairing.
