Still Looking for a DAC - Audio Mirror Tubadour v and ANK Audio 5.1 @roxy54, I deeply believe this is not the place to exercise freedom of speech, and having said that, I’m signing off before it gets out of control. Peace to everyone!
Still Looking for a DAC - Audio Mirror Tubadour v and ANK Audio 5.1 @soix, I ordered the AZ MC2 cable. Should be a good match with my other AZ stuff.
Still Looking for a DAC - Audio Mirror Tubadour v and ANK Audio 5.1 @pindac, post whatever you wish, it’s just irrelevant to this particular topic, since I’m long done with the DAC search.
Still Looking for a DAC - Audio Mirror Tubadour v and ANK Audio 5.1 Guys, please stay on topic, I already bought whatever I wanted a half a year ago, and don’t need recommendations. If you have something to say about this particular DAC, then go ahead, otherwise as far as I’m concerned this thread is closed. Thank...
Still Looking for a DAC - Audio Mirror Tubadour v and ANK Audio 5.1 What an unbelievable device, I must say. Now I’m using it with the Western Electric JW 5842 tubes (mil version of 417A). I can’t say they’re much better that the stock ones, but the sound now is different - bigger and more tubey. I also replaced t...
Question on Luxman L-AX550ii balanced inputs I was in a similar situation when I got my Luxman cl-38uc preamp. My CDPs balanced output level is 3.2V, and Luxman’s input is 2.5V. I contacted both Luxman’s and CDPs representatives about the issue, they both told me it’s a bad idea. Then I call...
Warm, yet detailed tube preamp @audiojan, I have that Luxman piece in one of my systems, and it sounds really good, don’t be alarmed because of its “cheap” price, it performs flawlessly and enjoyable. Besides, if you change its stock tubes, it will sound even better.
Recommend a DAC based on Analog Devices? Here’s my piece on the Luxman preamp
Recommend a DAC based on Analog Devices? @clustrocasual, actually it looks much better in person. Very heavy too, considering its size. Made in USA. The designer always stands behind the product, very easy to reach, dawn-to-earth guy. I’m using AMT V since February. Those 6S45 tubes are...
Recommend a DAC based on Analog Devices? All Audio Mirror DACs are based on AD1865N-K chip. They sound wonderful.
Tube Rolling | Luxman CL-38uc @brubin, as of now I’m not looking for anything. I got lucky to obtain a quintet of absolutely mint Amperex tubes (1965), so I’m all set, but thanks for your post, even though it’s 5 months old.
Still Looking for a DAC - Audio Mirror Tubadour v and ANK Audio 5.1 Oh, forgot to mention that the size was a big factor for getting it since I have very little space on my rack.
Still Looking for a DAC - Audio Mirror Tubadour v and ANK Audio 5.1 Hey, folks, I guess a little update is in order, I promise I’ll be short :) The unit went through different stages of transformation, and when it finally settled down I couldn’t believe my ears - the sound was smooth, big and immensely enjoyable....
Audio Mirror Tubadour V - A Few Words of Appreciation @scp, you’re not gonna recognize AMT V in a couple of weeks. Vlad knows what he’s doing, so your journey will be well-rewarded. Enjoy the ride! I should’ve gotten the AMT much sooner, but knew zilch about them. Now I can’t imagine listening to my... |
