Synthesis Amplifiers: One of High End's Best Kept Secrets? Just swapped the A40 for the A100. Big difference with my Ktemas. Game changer and worth the extra $$$$
Franco Serblin R.I.P. What happens to Ktema? Bricasti M25 seems to.be a popular amp for sure. What I've read it's a clean, analytical and detailed sounding amp. Of course, I've never heard it. I'm primarily listening to the Ktemas using a Italian brand Synthesis A40. This is only a recent ch...
Integrating headphone system I use speakers taps out of my 2CH amp for HP listening. Works really well. No need for separate HP amp. https://fogcityaudio.com/products/adaptor-cable-speaker-banana-plugs-to-female-4-pin-xlr
Best sounding headphones you have owned? My current ZMF Caldera.....easy.
What’s your opinion about Dali speakers? Owner of the Dali Epicon 2 with Dali stands. I've driven them with Class A/B, Class D and Class A tube and SS amps. All high quality. The best I've heard them are with Class A tubes. I have always described them as, "they do every right, but...
Franco Serblin R.I.P. What happens to Ktema? @sksos , that is great to hear. My Ktemas is my longest lasting piece of stereo equipment in my system. Purchased in a Italy in 2011. These will be buried with me. They are a finicky speaker, and it took time for me to find the right amp to driv...
Franco Serblin R.I.P. What happens to Ktema? Yes, I wonder if the 901 would work. Interesting dual amp.function. Perhaps it will provide the power needed to drive the bass. I owned simaudio 810a and it did not do well with Ktemas. My Accuphase A70 does well.
Franco Serblin R.I.P. What happens to Ktema? Ktemas really do well with Class A amps tube or SS. They are easly to drive, but need the power to really extend bass. I would not use any other type of amp.
Synthesis Amplifiers: One of High End's Best Kept Secrets? Glad to know the warm up hum is normal. I’m still enjoying the amp everyday. In my next residence I’m going to add the amp to drive my Franco Serblins. I’m excited for this. I have no doubt the A40 can handle the task. Currently, I’ve been listeni...
Synthesis Amplifiers: One of High End's Best Kept Secrets? Side note, purchased a Chord Mscaler. Really adds a benefit to the A40 when using its internal DAC.
Synthesis Amplifiers: One of High End's Best Kept Secrets? My Synthesis A40 still is running without issue except for a humming upon warm up. Also, I can get some audible noise when changing volumes. Is this normal? Deja VU did not seem concerned with it.
Transparent Audio Quality Audio Note Lexus cable. The AN will change the sound signature, but clarity is on par with the Transparent Ref cable IMHO. Plus it matches better with my Accuphase and Franco serblin speakers.
Transparent Audio Quality Just sold my Transparent Ref MM2 SC and regretted immediately until I found a good replacement at the fraction of the cost. Good cable, but at an outrageous price. Will I purchase Transparent again, NO, and the only reason is because of the cost. ...
Synthesis Amplifiers: One of High End's Best Kept Secrets? Well, before I jump off the A-70 bandwagon, I just upgraded to the Audio Note Lexus cable and it made a huge difference in the solid state amp from the previous AN cable. The AN-LA cable sounded fine with the synthesis, but did not sound good with...
Synthesis Amplifiers: One of High End's Best Kept Secrets? To be honest, I do not know. I have yet to use the remote. He just mentioned it. I just cannot seem to go back to my Accuphase A-70 after the purchase of the A40. I just enjoy listening to it. Is it because it is the new toy, perhaps. It is just... |
