Pass Integrated to Pass separates I disagree, I have owned quite a few "good" preamps and the XP20 is a GREAT one
Which Pre-Amp Pass Labs or Audio Research most the reviews are saying that everything in the current xp lineup are better than the older x pre's but i have not heard the older ones myself.
Which Pre-Amp Pass Labs or Audio Research I had an XP20 with X350. It sounded amazing!! I am not a fan of audio research based on the few times I heard them in showrooms so I would clearly suggest the pass.
A Must Hear under $5,000 I second the magnepan 3.7's
I gotta laugh at myself, big time I am pretty happy that I started the high end journey early in life. I bought my first pair of magnepan 1.6's about 3 years ago (27). In the time since then I have owned Ayre, Modwright, esoteric, marantz, emotiva, Aesthetix, Pass labs, schiit, sa...
$6000 budget question +1 for magnepan 3.7's
Panel Sound While I have not owned ML's I have owned Sanders Sound speakers in the past and would think they are similar to the logans. I thought that the electrostats had the most detail of any speakers out there but I felt they also had a metallic sound to ...
Revel or Aerial I agree guys, that's part of why I said if you are happy with them you should go for electronics though. I went through about 5 different pairs of dynamic speakers when I moved away from the 3.6's before ending up back at the 3.7's. If you like th...
Revel or Aerial I personally think that speakers make the biggest difference, but if your happy then go for electronics. To answer your question, I did not compare them in the same room but similar systems. My friend owned the Studio2's and I owned the F208's. To...
Revel or Aerial I stand by my statement that the studio2's are in a different leage from the f208's. I won't comment on if you should change equipment as there are to many options out there to randomly suggest anything. I would still suggest the studio2's as they...
Revel or Aerial I would not even consider the F208's if you can get the studio2 for the same price. I was not impressed with the F208's. The Studio2's are in a different category.
PS Audio Phono + Sony HAP-Z1ES But to answer your question about the direct connection to the sony the answer is no. You would have to go to a computer first and then transfer the file from the computer to the sony where it would then be stored on the sonys internal drive or US...
PS Audio Phono + Sony HAP-Z1ES I see now, I was thinking your ps was just a phono preamp. Yes your turntable would go to your ps audio which would go to a computer and create a DSD or PCM file. You could then transfer this file into the sony to be stored and played back. The so...
New Magnepan 3.7 i ? Big news from my dealer. He said that if your Magnepans are fairly new you probably already have the i in place. He said basically they were tensioning the mylar tighter initially and about 6 months or so ago they started producing them a little l...
PS Audio Phono + Sony HAP-Z1ES I would look into an Ayre QA-9 which is an Analog to digital converter. You would plug this into a computer to make the copies. The Sony is basically a audio server which plays DSD and PCM files which are stored directly on the sony. |
