Even with only a few hours on the cartridge it sounds amazing compared to the last one. In regards to your comment about vtf, what in your experience is the window for th...
Bent Cant, Can't get azimuth right. Does it matter Update:Benz sent me out a new cartridge, straight as an arrow. I installed it today, and there was a lot of "missing" information in the right channel with the bent cart. I am glad I sent it back, thanks. Now I have to wait for it to break-in again.
What is it about the Cary SLI-80? Hello Gentlemen,I too had a sli-80, and had no intentions of selling it. One day I had a Mcintosh 2500 power amp walked into my room. It was a friends who wanted me to sell it for him. Out of curiosity I hooked it up with some sub par speaker and ...
full range close to wall positioning Hi Shaun,My friend has a pair of NHT 2.9's. I did some research on them and they recommend 4-10 inches from wall, and the bigger brother 3.3's are supposed to go right against the back wall. I found the reviews online at stereophile only a couple ...
My LP couldn't beat my CD, until now I found this thread looking for info on the Micro Phono which I am borrowing from a friend. Oddly, as a newbee to vinyl, I had my drop jawed moment of realization the day before he brought it over. The cause of this happy moment was nailing my vta...
30 ft rca run too long for a phono to preamp? Hello again,I thought I'd post an update. I replaced the repaired woofers in my speakers and now have the full bass again. 30 ft rca run too long for a phono to preamp? I designed a shelf for my table, and emailed it to a local welder, then today while awaiting a reply, I decided to make one myself, just to make sure it would work. It did. I used 2" Mahogany, 4 1/2" stainless screws, glued, clamped and screwed. I...

Best Rock Albums in 2009, so far I was disappointed with the Wilco album. I just got the new Magnolia electric Co. album call "Josaphine" I think it's really good, but I like everything Jason Molina has ever done.
Scanspeak 10" driver replacement - blown woofer Hi, Thank you for your inputs. Rodman, the bass is fine, was fine, great actually, it was a physical accident with a turntable, and more power then the speakers are rated for.I cannot get an exact matching new driver, so I am left with getting the...
30 ft rca run too long for a phono to preamp? Sorry to highjack my own thread, but this is turning into a turntable isolation thread. Tvad, I am having a hard time finding info on ceiling hanging, is this better then a wall shelf, would I use heavy chain, and a slab of granite? poured concret...
30 ft rca run too long for a phono to preamp? Hi Dan, it is a thoren td-147, I currently have it where the c-30 is in the picture as I have upgraded my preamp, but not my systems photos. I am thinking about moving that chair to the right.Sam, I thought about it, and it would probably be the e...
30 ft rca run too long for a phono to preamp? Alright Gentlemen, lots to think about, the ceiling mount is a possibilty, but it would still be about 45" from each speaker. I will look into the Galibier sandbox, and Audiolui, you may be onto something as I blew the bottoms out of my Vanderstee...
30 ft rca run too long for a phono to preamp? Hi, Marakanetz, no I do not have balanced components, Tvad, I have moved some furniture around (in my head ) and have another option. If one chair magically disappears, I can wall mount the turntable placing it approx. 45" from each speaker. With ... |
