Tube preamp with the "most" for 1k used, 2k new?
If you could stretch your budget a couple hundred of dollars then the Rogue 99 Magnum would be an excellent choice. This preamp can be upgraded to Super Magnum for $500.. Also the customer service at Rogue is outstanding.
Joseph Audio Pulsar?
Congratulations! You've got a terrific setup that I am sure you give you great enjoyment for many years.
Rogue Hera II
I heard it at the Axpona NYC Show on 6/24 and it was part of a GREAT sounding system with the Rogue Apollo monoblocks and Eggleston Works Andra 3's.
Joseph Audio Pulsar?
I heard the Pulsars at the Axpona show in NYC last week and I thought they were excellent. They have the midrange and highs of good monitor and the dynamics of a good floorstander.
What are some good tube amps that rock? KT88's?
One of the Rogue amps/integrateds would fit the bill very nicely such as Cronus Magnum, Tempest, Stereo 90 and the 150/180 monoblocks. All very dynamic and the also do a great job with the subtleties of music.
Manley or Rogue?
Both are very good, but especially in light of Manleys huge recent price increases, Rogue is a WAY better value. I don't see a need to buy Chinese gear, ex. Prima Luna and Cayin, when an American company like Rogue offers such great performance/pr...
Manufacurers I have known.... 2 Bobby Palkovic
Bobby is one of the greatest designers of high end speakers and a very decent person as well. His speakers are so musical and well balanced you have to really admire his talent.

Have 300b MB want a killer pair of Hi-Eff speakers
You could buy a pair of Omega's Hoyt-Bedford Type 1's for $795./pair, which are terrific speakers at an incredibly low price and then buy two Hoyt-Bedford Type 3's which are subwoofers at $700 each and can double as stands for the Hoyt Bedford Typ...
Silverline Minuet "Supreme"
Cwlondon Go to Audio Circle under circles and scan down to Omega and you will find info about the Hoyt Bedfords. I believe they will be on the regular website shortly. It is worth the effort because these speakers are an incredible bargain at Omeg...
Silverline Minuet "Supreme"
I am sorry for the very late response. I definitely believe the Merlins and Harbeth are better, but in the Minuet's price range I heard a speaker last week that clearly outperform them and if you like the single driver sound, outperform just about...
JM Reynaud Twin Signatures vs. Bliss/Silver
I used to own the JM Reynaud Twin Signatures and although they are very fine speakers I agree about the bass and solved the problem by moving on to the Merlin TSM-MXE's which are much better speakers and have a very tight detailed bass as well as ...
Tekton Kat's Meow
I had the Tekton 4.5 wide baffle and I thought they were fantastic speakers and a great bargain, but they could use a subwoofer if you desire more bass. Tekton gives you a great deal for your money and the workmanship, service and sound of the Tek...
Silverline Minuet "Supreme"
I heard these at the 2007 Stereophile Show in NYC and I thought they were excellent sounding speakers and offered tremendous value. If the Merlins and Harbeths of the world are beyond your budget the Minuets should be given very serious considerat...
