| Tube preamp with the "most" for 1k used, 2k new? If you could stretch your budget a couple hundred of dollars then the Rogue 99 Magnum would be an excellent choice. This preamp can be upgraded to Super Magnum for $500.. Also the customer service at Rogue is outstanding. | |

| What are some good tube amps that rock? KT88's? One of the Rogue amps/integrateds would fit the bill very nicely such as Cronus Magnum, Tempest, Stereo 90 and the 150/180 monoblocks. All very dynamic and the also do a great job with the subtleties of music. | |
