Record Mats In Combination With Weights
@dover Well, foolish or not, the sound quality from my setup suffers on everything I play without those options.  Maybe I have been just lucky?I have the Denon DP450 with the Ortofon 2M Red. I am now using the Archomat rather than the rubber mat t...

@millercarbon   Do you use the Origin Live Gravity One ?
Record Mats In Combination With Weights
@jasonbourne52  There must be a reason these weights exist.  To be fair, I mostly have vintage albums that have some warping and the high mass weight helps.  It removes a horrible oscillating hissing sound on one of my albums.  As well as removes ...
Whats on your turntable tonight?
I was watching the new Monty Python 6 episode documentary and was reminded that on one of the vinyl albums was a double track on one of the sides.  Depending on where the stylus tracks it will play a completely different set of tracks. It's on the...

@mahgister  You're perfectly welcome. :)

@Georgehifi Can't the same argument be said, "Just get the premium fuse and try it for yourself to see if it makes a difference?" In psychology, it is said:"If you are unable to take risks, then you are unable to be happy."Take a risk. " Available...

" The best "sounding fuse" to you guys will be no fuse at all. "That's a reasonable way to look at it. Any time you have to break the electrical chain, you chip away at the signal's integrity and quality. There are other methods that aren't as im...

" then it won't act as fuse wire anymore "OK, then it won't.  Besides, I find that when fuses blow, it usually means something else in the circuit is broken.

Using better parts for a machine typically yields better function from said machine.  I am 110% certain that if a company used a fuse with better conductive parts or quality materials, that machine will function better than if they used a throw-aw...

@georgehifi  Um... basic electronics class in High School.  Fuses blow due to heat, not impedance. *shrug* Not sure why you would question that.
Shunyata Alpha/Delta NR Line.
I have this same question:" am seeking advice from users that have compared it to the Alpha or Sigma NR. On paper, they only differ in total wire gage ( 10ga. 8ga, 6ga). So if my gear doesnt need the extra gage diameter for power draw, what el...

@fiesta75   I get why there is a market for premium fuses. The current has to pass through the fuse in order to power whatever system.   If the fuse uses inferior components, it will add unneeded impedance on the signal.
Why Do Schumann Resonators Work?
Geez.  I read through this entire thread and not a single person could answer this question from the OP:" Does it help block or alter electromagnetic interference? "The literature that accompanies many SGs say that it helps with EMI and RFI inter...
RE: the question: ":Why do forum interactions become contentious". . .
At least you didn't get outright threats through PM.

@millercarbon    I have seen that tab on a great many DACs.The Shunyata Venom V16 doesn't have a fuse.  It uses a Hydraulic Electromagnetic Breaker instead. I checked the A2+, it also has no fuse. The DCM Timeframe 600s have a lamp fuse hard solde...
