New Outlets Lead to Better Sounding and Tasting Coffee @jonwolfpell I am sorry, but Americanos is not a good treatment of the mighty espresso. You are watering up what's good in it.
New Outlets Lead to Better Sounding and Tasting Coffee My coffee maker (espresso) is hand powered (Flair - no affiliation) so it works the same regardless what's plugged in. The best part is, it does not break like fancy pricey Ascasos and Gaggia I used to discard just when the warranty expired
How do you stop house guest from damaging your speakers? @fatdaddy2 it's probably one of the most egoistic hobbies, and the irony is that it doesn't have to be. Many comments in this thread are absolutely devastating about us humans
How do you stop house guest from damaging your speakers? @jjss49 "wear pet shock collars" ?
AudioQuest vs Cardas XLR "much of our affluence is based on manufacturing in China" yes it is a real problem. It's skewing the prices of goods in America, and inflates our materialistic, greedy nature. If prices reflected the cost of resources and human labor that go int...
Were you an audiophile in the 1980s and 1990s? do we need to glorify this breed?

What is the best way to clean Vinyl? "until you get into a high end turntable noise is a problem and record cleaning is also cost dependent" my experience is different. I have the cheapest system and with clean or new vinyl, I hear absolutely 0 noise, hiss or pop.

Need advice on building a system from a mishmash of components! @scooneytunes so my budget was around $500. I found the Moon LP110 v2 the best deal. Had a post about it too. My sense is that for a $1000 turntable, it's not worth spending $$$ on a phono stage. From what I read, the entry level Parasound, Mu...
Building stands for Harbeth 40.2's "form follows function" absolutely. I agree with that.
Building stands for Harbeth 40.2's @whipsaw I am not sure there is anything I can add. I said it all, the value (let's not call it value but substance/significance) of my comment was that there is a massive void of aesthetics in audio gear and equipment and furniture. Which is cl...
Building stands for Harbeth 40.2's @whipsaw so I could have added "IMHO" or to my caveman taste or anything like that. But I thought it's implied, if X says: "roses smell terrible" he means "to him", not to the 8 billion residents of the Planet And yes, I am compelled to express...
Need advice on building a system from a mishmash of components! sorry I didn’t mean to be harsh. I am easily confused :) You will have a lot of fun playing with your toys. I myself hoard cheap speakers, not sure why. I just got cured of hoarding old integrated amps. For a phono stage, I just tested 3 of them... |
