TWL - yes my sota suspension bounced but the arm and platter all moves as one allowing the record to play without interruption.Sean- that was not my experience. In fact the sound improved.

I use cjpv12a. cj is not a particulary wide band design. thus it is strange that it(pv11) had a bad high end. Maybe it was a mismatch. available used for @$1k.

you should always start with the arm paralell to the platter and try your best to keep it that way. if need be add shims betewwe the cartrdige and and head shell. as a slightly unbalanced lever the tonearm works best that way.
